Unapologetic Latina border agent dubbed ‘ICE bae’ becomes all the rage on social media

A Latina female officer providing security for Vice President Mike Pence during his recent visit to migrant detention facilities on the border is quickly becoming all the rage online.

The agent, identified as Kiara Cervante, according to Fox News, was photographed outside of a holding area as Pence and a contingent of Republicans from the Senate Judiciary Committee toured two facilities — Democratic members were also invited and didn’t bother to show up.

The photo went viral and Cervante was dubbed #ICEbae on social media — the irony of the photo is that it was used by unhinged liberals like actress/activist Alyssa Milano to compare Pence and the GOP contingent to Nazis standing outside a WWII POW camp.

An NBC video captured the moment the photo above was taken.

With the sudden attention, a Twitter account purportedly belonging to Cervante was created to respond and as of this writing, it has accumulated 31.7 thousand followers.

A selfie of the agent in uniform was shared, along with a quick video introduction to confirm that she’s the agent in question. The video featured a t-shirt with a plunging neckline, as opposed to a uniform.

If it wasn’t apparent in the NBC video, Cervante takes her job seriously, even if she does look to take advantage of the unexpected notoriety.

“Soooo it’s crazy…. but here I am. I’m hearing something about a viral picture. I would like to say i was just doing my job.. providing security for the visit of @VP . It was an honor and I take a lot of pride in my job!” she said in one tweet.

Cervante also said that she was “in awe” of all the attention and support, even if she was attacked by the tolerant left as a Nazi — apparently, for the left, it’s acceptable to attack brown people if you call them a Nazi.

Even if they are registered Democrats, as Cervante is.

She registered to vote in 2011, according to the New York Post, but did not vote in the 2016 presidential election. Given that her last vote was in 2014, is perhaps a testament to her thoughts of the Democratic nominee running against Trump, ol’ whatsername.

Democrat or not, Cervante also expressed her love for America.

“WOW I am in awe. Thank you all for the support! My job is so hectic at this moment but I am grateful. I love protecting my country! ????❤️ And I love my supporters!”

Another irony is that for some social media users, #ICEbae is an improvement over socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

The lawmaker has attacked Border Patrol agents like Cervante, accusing them of forcing migrants to drink from toilets, and called detention centers “concentration camps.”

(Ocasio-Cortez’s media allies neglect to report that Hispanics make up half of the agents at the agency.)

“Tell AOC we breaking up and tell ICE to come get me!” a social media user tweeted.

The only downside to Cervante’s popularity is that the US is hoping to deter migrants from flocking to our border and #ICEbae may be having the opposite effect!

As for the Nazi comparisons…
