Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, one of America’s most radically left-wing political leaders, mused Saturday that he may tap U.S. women’s soccer team player Megan Rapinoe to serve as America’s secretary of state if he wins the 2020 presidential election.
Why? Because her foreign policy approach — which basically centers on sitting around a campfire with other nations and singing “Kumbaya” — is allegedly better than President Donald Trump’s less lovey-dovey but more, you know, rational approach.
Listen:
“He has created an image of the United States as a go-it-alone, divisive country rather than one that works with the rest of the world,” Inslee said when asked during the Netroots Nation conference in Philadelphia on Saturday about how he’d restore America’s reputation abroad.
While America’s reputation abroad has admittedly suffered during Trump’s time in office, some would argue this is a result of the media constantly lying about him and his administration.
“He has bred a sense of chaos in every single thing he has touched internationally. He has centered his entire international relations on fear rather than confidence and on hope,” Inslee continued.
“And it seems to me that maybe one of the first acts of president, I ought to think about getting a secretary of state who has asked us to embrace more unity across the world and more love rather than hate. So my first act will be to ask Megan Rapinoe to be my secretary of state. I haven’t asked her yet, so this could be a surprise to her.”
That’d likely also surprise the world as well, since Rapinoe’s only notable life experience involves kicking a bill. The president, on the other hand, has spent his entire life negotiating contracts with foreign dignitaries and business magnates throughout the world.
“I actually believe this because I think what she has said that has so inspired us so much is such an antithesis of the president’s foreign policies,” Inslee added.
He’d been referencing the speech she’d delivered earlier in the week.
Following the U.S. women’s soccer team’s parade through NYC this week — a parade during which members of the team behaved like obnoxious brats — Rapinoe delivered a long-winded, virtue-signaling speech about so-called “love.”
Listen:
“This is my charge to everyone — we have to be better,” she said. “We have to love more, hate less. We got to listen more, and talk less. We got to know this is everybody’s responsibility, every single person here. Every single person who is not here. Every single person who doesn’t want to be here.”
“Every single person who agrees and doesn’t agree. It is our responsibility to make this world a better place. I think this team does an incredible job of taking that on our shoulders and understanding the position that we have and the platform we have within this world.”
But as is typical of members of the radical left, Rapinoe doesn’t live by the words she preaches. She preemptively refused a visit to the White House, because God forbid she sit down and reach some sort of consensus with the president, a man whom she hates. FYI, hate is the opposite of “love.”
Moreover, the egotistical soccer star has repeatedly disrespected the national anthem and refused to listen her critics. Speaking on CNN last Wednesday, she made it clear that she’s only willing to speak with anyone who “believes in the same things we [she and her teammates] believe in.”
“So yes to AOC, yes to Pelosi, yes to a bipartisan Congress, yes to Chuck Schumer, yes to anyone else that wants to invite us and have a real substantive conversation and that believe in the same things we believe in,” she said, responding to requests from congressional Democrats for her to visit them.
But no to the president of the United States, because LISTENING to people you dislike is apparently not a part of that whole “love” thing she preaches about …
After saying she’ll never visit Trump,
Megan Rapinoe says she would go to D.C. to have a “substantive conversation” with anyone who “believes the same things we believe in.”

Megan Rapinoe’s contempt for Americans who disagree with her is so disgraceful and disgusting. https://t.co/SvzOQTHUK2

So Rapinoe made a huge speech about unity & “we all need to do better” & “be kind & accepting” of everyone “even those we disagree” with yet she’s still refusing to go to the whitehouse & said today she will meet with anyone who “believes in the same things we believe in.” ??♀️??♀️??♀️

“yes to anyone else that wants to invite us and have a real substantive conversation, and that believes in the same things that we believe in.”
She completely contradicts herself, and the masses swallow this whole.https://t.co/sdLdhZUzNS

The liberal echo chamber at its finest… after lecturing us on ‘inclusivity’, Ms Rapinoe only wants to talk to anyone ‘who believes the same things we believe in’. https://t.co/4LLMaczqM1

When it comes to contradictions, Rapinoe isn’t too different from Inslee. Despite touting his economic prowess, promising to spur an economic boom with his radical plans and having vowed to cut taxes, he’s done the exact opposite. His performance has been so poor, in fact, that he’s been designated the worst governor in the country when it comes to fiscal policy.
“Governor Jay Inslee is the worst-scoring governor on this report card. His appetite for tax and spending increases has been insatiable,” the libertarian-leaning Cato Institute decreed in its 2018 “Fiscal Policy Report Card.”
It’s like Rapinoe and Inslee are two pees in a pod of total, unadulterated BS.
.@GovInslee of Washington has the worst score on this year’s #GovReportCard. Though he campaigned on a promise not to raise taxes, Inslee has pushed increases in business taxes, capital gains taxes, cigarette taxes, sales taxes, and a huge new carbon tax. https://t.co/9DCyJDuDoV pic.twitter.com/y8Je5aBLdp
