Women’s World Cup Final viewership cut nearly in half as more clips of obnoxious, egocentric antics roll in

According to numbers out Monday, nearly 10 million fewer American viewers on average tuned in for this year’s historic FIFA Women’s World Cup Final than tuned in when the U.S. team went up against and defeated Japan in the otherwise equally historic 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Final.

“The United States’ 2-0 victory over the Netherlands in Sunday’s FIFA Women’s World Cup final averaged nearly 15.6 million U.S. viewers on English- and Spanish-language television,” the Associated Press has confirmed.

“The audience was down 43.8 percent from the 2015 final between the U.S. and Japan, which averaged 25.4 million viewers. That match though was played in Canada and started at 7 p.m. Eastern, compared to Sunday’s in France, which kicked off at 11 a.m. Eastern.”

While the AP seemed to suggest that time differences may have played a role in this notable discrepancy, others believe the true culprit was the U.S. women’s soccer team stunning arrogance, ego, obnoxiousness and anti-Americanism, an example of which can be seen below.

Recorded after the team was handed the keys to New York City on Wednesday in recognition of its achievement, the clip shows player Ashlyn Harris obnoxiously bragging.

“Hide your kids, hide your wives, lock your f–kin doors, because I got the key too the motherf–king city, and I’m coming for all ya’ll b–ches,” she drunkenly says.

It’s not clear whether the U.S. men’s soccer team has ever acted so childishly in public. What’s known is that members of the men’s team came under fire from the media three years ago after they dared to mock a member of the women’s team for being arrested on a DUI.

Using Google, BizPac Review was unable to find any examples of members of the U.S. men’s soccer team being arrested in recent times for driving drunk …

Of course, the videos above were recorded after the final match occurred, so these particular examples of obnoxiousness aren’t directly relevant to the match’s poor viewing performance.

However, for weeks lead player Megan Rapinoe had been trashing America and disrespecting President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, she and her peers had been behaving like spoiled children on the field by celebrating their every minor victory.

During the team’s first match against Thailand last month, Rapinoe refused to sing the national anthem as it blared throughout the Stade Auguste-Delaune stadium in Reims, France. During that same game, members of the team celebrated every single goal they scored against Thailand, which for the record had never even stood a chance.

“Thailand was never a real threat to the U.S. national team,” the Daily Mail reported. “Even so, the three-time Women’s World Cup champions had no desire to go easy on a lesser opponent in their opening game. … Even the substitutes joined arms and jumped up and down with wide smiles — while Thai players were left in tears. Commentators and fans on Twitter have described the jubilant celebrations as unsporting and even ‘disgusting.'”

Leading those “disgusting” celebrations was Rapinoe:

Prior to last weekend’s big game, the team had also taken to making false allegations about unfair pay and demanding that they be paid as much as their male counterparts. But missing from their grievance-laced rants was any notion of reality.

“Last year, the men’s World Cup in Russia generated more than $6 billion in revenue; the participating teams shared about $400 million,” The Federalist reported earlier this week.

“That is less than 7 percent of overall revenue. Meanwhile, the 2019 Women’s World Cup made somewhere in the region of $131 million, doling out $30 million, well more than 20 percent of collected revenue, to the participating teams. It seems a pay gap does exist, after all.”

That’s right, members of the women’s soccer team earn a higher percentage of revenue than their male counterparts. Yet member’s of the women’s team keep complaining about wages, which speaks again to their stunning egotism and narcissism.

Dovetailing back to the present, when granted the opportunity this Wednesday to deliver a speech before New York City Hall, Rapinoe resorted to using profanity.

“New York City, you’re the motherf–king best!” she yelled with boastful arrogance.

She presumably didn’t care that a number of young, impressionable children were present that day for the team’s big parade through NYC.

Speaking with CBS News, two young fans said that they view members of the team, including presumably Rapinoe, as veritable role models.

“They make us work harder and show us we can do what we love when we get older,” they said.

Including cursing in public, partaking in public intoxication and being a conceited ass …

And oh, disrespecting the national anthem. Rapinoe was caught on camera defiantly standing with her hands by her side as a rendition of the national anthem blared through downtown New York City prior to the parade Wednesday morning.

While none of this is definitive proof of why this year’s historic FIFA Women’s World Cup Final performed so poorly viewership-wise, some believe it’s certainly suggestive of why.
