Jon Voight, one of Hollywood’s few successful and outspoken conservatives, showed admirable humility when attending President Donald Trump’s “Salute to America” event on July 4th.

Mike Hahn, a Trump supporter who also attended the event, took video of the “Deliverance” and “National Treasure” star doing something incredibly special for Gold Star families. With rain coming down early in the day, Voight decided to grab a roll of paper towels and wipe down the seats that would be used by Gold Star moms.

“While Hollywood Elites protested President @realDonaldTrump’s ‘Salute to America’ on July 4th… Here’s a video of John Voight cleaning the rain off seats for Gold Star families. This is what it’s all about!” Hahn wrote when posting the video of 80-year-old Voight wiping down the chairs.

What’s so special about this video is that it is not staged in any way. Voight has no idea he’s being filmed. He’s simply doing a good deed because it needs to be done.

While some Trump-hating Hollywood “stars” like Alyssa Milano have tried to dismiss Voight over his politics, the actor has stayed true to his beliefs and still managed to have success within Hollywood.

He currently stars on the highly acclaimed Showtime drama series “Ray Donovan” and he has also appeared in recent hit films like “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

A few days before the event, Voight praised the Gold Star moms he would be attending the July 4th festivities with.

“There’s no greater honor than to stand with these moms who have lost their loved ones who sacrificed for our country, for our freedoms, and who love and honor and respect our nation. If they knew anything about the Second World War, they’d know that socialism is a disaster It’s never produced anything anywhere in the world. It’s an economic sinkhole, but it also produces nothing but misery and violence,” the Academy Award-winning actor said.

Voight also frequently takes to his Twitter account to express support for the president.

In his most recent video message Voight called Trump “the greatest president.”

“My fellow Americans, I stand with you and the truth of our nation, with great pride and honor. I say this truly from a place of God’s truths. Our nation is stronger and wiser because we have taken a chance on a man who has become the greatest president. I’m honored to call him President Trump,” he said.

Voight continued, “And as we come closer to 2020, let us track all the magnificent documentations that have been signed, sealed and delivered to this country and its glory. We must continue this race of truths and stand with President Trump for his next win. Because this is more than win; this is not a sacrifice. This is God’s honor, God’s trust for this nation. For this land of liberty. For justice for all.”

He ended his message by saying Trump will “set the nation to be the greatest land of peace and love.”

“This is America, this land of the free. This is our president, Donald Trump, that will set the nation to be the greatest land of peace and love … and great again. God bless,” he said.

Voight has long been outspoken in his support for Trump. He even spoke at the president’s inauguration.

Voight has been nominated for four Academy Awards and won one for 1978’s “Coming Home.” He also won a Golden Globe for his role on “Ray Donovan.”
