‘Let me be frank’: Sen. Kennedy wants someone to inform AOC ‘that the voices in her head are not real’

Sen. John Kennedy, the same no-holds-bars Republican who earlier this year told Democrats that “[i]t must really suck to be that dumb,” has some equally cheeky advice for socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: Stop listening to the voices in your head!

Let me be frank. Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez … someone needs to tell her that the voices in her head are not real,” the senator unapologetically said in an interview this week with Louisiana station KSLA.

“She says that the men and women of our border patrol and our authorities are intentionally running concentration camps on the southern border. She needs to go to the Holocaust Museum and see what a concentration camp is.”

Last month the 29-year-old freshman congresswoman rejected an invitation from a Holocaust survivor to tour Auschwitz, the concentration camp where over a million Jews were murdered during the Holocaust.

“The problem we’re having at the border, a problem that Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez has helped create, is that we have 5,000 people a day — not a week, not a month, a day — coming into this country,” the senator continued. “And we don’t have a place to put them.”

“The Department of Homeland Security is out of money and the congresswoman knows that. She says the conditions are inhumane. But yet, when we send a bill over to her to vote to improve those conditions, she voted no. Her hypocrisy is breathtaking.”

That’s also true. AOC was among a segment of radical freshmen Democrats who voted against H.R. 3401, a House bill to provide the Department of Homeland Security with the $4.5 billion in emergency funds needed to continue housing, feeding and taking care of detained illegal aliens.

“This is the bottom line,” Kennedy concluded. “Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez believes that illegal immigration is a moral good. And she believes that the border is just a nuisance and it should be open; and, I don’t think that’s what America believes.”

Again, he was correct. Polls have shown that an overwhelming majority of Americans are against both illegal immigration and Democrat proposals to provide illegal immigrants with government healthcare, voting rights and drivers’ licenses.

In fact, a CBS poll conducted last summer found that three-fourths of Americans wanted illegal aliens detained in Trump’s alleged “concentration camps” and subsequently and deported:

Kennedy’s remarks were made days after AOC and her freshmen peers stormed through several U.S. Customs and Border Protection detention facilitates along the border like they owned the place and proceeded to propagate a hash of easily debunked lies about what they’d allegedly seen.

Incensed by the congresswoman’s lies, conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh has likened her to a shock jock.

“After a while, your gig gets old, your schtick no longer shocks, and so you have to keep crossing new lines,” he explained on his program this Wednesday. “And that’s all she’s doing. She’s addicted to getting noticed.”

“Now she runs down there and starts trashing and lying about conditions at the border,” Limbaugh continued. “And the people who administer the people who come into this country illegally. Flat-out lies that the detainees are being forced to drink out of toilets.”

As demonstrated by CBP Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent Roy Villareal in a video uploaded to Twitter on Thursday, detained illegal aliens are not being forced to drink water from toilets. Nor is there anything wrong with the sink water they have access to while in detention:

Limbaugh’s point about Ocasio-Cortez’s “gig” getting old was that she’s been lying from the very beginning. It’s a point that was echoed by former Navy SEAL Rep. Dan Crenshaw during a Fox News interview on Tuesday.

“She’s getting bolder with her lies. … Remember, first there was no crisis at all,” he said to host Martha MacCallum. “Then it was a manufactured crisis, then it was a crisis completely created by Trump, then there were concentration camps, then people are Nazis. Now she’s saying border patrol agents harassed her and forced migrants to drink out of toilets.”

“This is insanity!” he added.

It’s as if the congresswoman changes her story to suit whatever narrative the Democrat Party happens to be chasing after at the time.

Meanwhile, instead of telling tall tales and fear-mongering over “concentration camps,” Republicans like Kennedy have been trying diligently to actually resolve the crisis.

“The President has made it absolutely clear that we need more emergency resources to go to that crisis on the border, it’s not even a crisis anymore. Now it’s a catastrophe from a humanitarian standpoint, from a national security standpoint,” he added in his KSLA interview.

Unfortunately, some people in Congress use that as a political football. They politicize this issue and it shouldn’t be. It’s about sovereignty and security. And of course, being the benevolent nation that we are we have to take care of people.”

“But we have to have security on the border. It’s just essential so that we can be the benevolent nation that we are. It goes to our national sovereignty at the end of the day. The President has made it a priority because it has to be. We’re trying to urge that along in Congress every day.”

While some in Congress have heard this message loud and clear, others choose to continue holding their hands over their ears and yelling “lalalala” like spoiled children.
