In an exclusive Fox News interview that aired Monday evening, President Donald Trump warned that the U.S. military is “in a position to do far worse” to Iran if the rogue regime continues to act up.
He made the remarks while speaking with FNC host Tucker Carlson about the “great capital” he’d built up in the U.S. by calling off a military strike on Iran.

“I built up a lot of great capital, and if something should happen, we’re in a position to do far worse by not doing it. But, hopefully, we don’t have to do anything,” he said.
After Iran shot down an American drone in international airspace in late June, the president ordered an air strike against certain Iranian targets. But after being informed by a general that the airstrike would kill up to 150 people, he canceled it and took to Twitter to explain why:
….On Monday they shot down an unmanned drone flying in International Waters. We were cocked & loaded to retaliate last night on 3 different sights when I asked, how many will die. 150 people, sir, was the answer from a General. 10 minutes before the strike I stopped it, not….

This last-minute decision earned him widespread praise for a couple of different reasons:
- It helped prevent the needless death of 150 people.
- It helped prevent the potential start of what would have been yet another protracted war.
- It showed that Trump is capable of standing up to his mostly neo-con advisers and thinking for himself.
- It briefly but effectively put the fear of God in Iran’s leaders.
“I was given a lot of credit by most people. A lot of people gave me of credit. …Â A lot of people said that was a great presidential moment, which was, you know, rather shocking to hear,” the president noted earlier in his FNC interview.
Because of these factors, he believes he now has more wiggle room in case the situation in Iran does wind up necessitating military action.
“Iran now, since we terminated that horrible deal, which was a truly horrible deal, and, you know, you and I aren’t so different in terms of fighting, we want to have peace. We want to build our roads and build our schools and build all the things we want to build,” he continued.
“But you can’t let Iran have a nuclear weapon, and you can’t let certain other countries have nuclear weapons — it’s too devastating. So they’re having a lot of difficulty in their country right now. And hopefully, at some point, they’ll come back and they’ll say, ‘We’re going to make a deal.’ Let’s see what happens.”
He meant former President Barack Hussein Obama’s disastrous deal with the rogue nation, which Trump formally pulled the U.S. out of last year. He’s since been seeking to strike a new, better deal with the Islamic nation, while other nations have meanwhile stuck to the original deal — and all for naught. Despite other nations bending over backwards for Iran, the rogue nation continues to violate the stipulations of the original deal.
“Iran threatened for weeks, and today the threat came true: Foreign Minister Javad Zarif announced that Iran had committed its first significant breach of its nuclear deal with world powers, breaking a limit on its uranium,” The Atlantic reported Monday.
“At issue is a mere few kilograms of uranium out of hundreds Iran is allowed under the deal. Iran has taken only a small step toward a bigger stockpile. Where it goes from here will determine whether that turns into a giant leap out of the deal.”
The Trump administration responded by urging the international community to stop catering to Iran and start following the lead of the U.S., which has and continues to take concrete action to keep both the rogue nation’s ego and its nuclear ambitions in check.
Iran’s regime has taken new steps to advance its nuclear ambitions. Once again, the regime uses its nuclear program to extort the international community and threaten regional security. The world’s top sponsor of terrorism can never be allowed to enrich uranium at any level.

“There is little doubt that even before the deal’s existence, Iran was violating its terms. We must restore the longstanding nonproliferation standard of no enrichment for Iran. The United States and its allies will never allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement.
“Maximum pressure on the Iranian regime will continue until its leaders alter their course of action. The regime must end its nuclear ambitions and its malign behavior.”
Of course, other nations refuse to listen …
Even as the U.S. has moved forward with imposing additional “hard-hitting” sanctions on Iran for the downing of an American drone, European leaders have reportedly pushed back.
“Europe has found a way of circumventing U.S. sanctions on Iran,” Forbes confirmed on Monday. “The governments of France, Germany and the United Kingdom have developed a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to enable European businesses to maintain non-dollar trade with Iran without breaking U.S. sanctions. That SPV, known as INSTEX, is now up and running.”
With “allies” like this, what good are friends … ?
However, no amount of “goodwill” by Iran’s European allies will protect it if Trump decides to “bomb the hell” out of Iran and obliterate it out of existence.
