Megan Rapinoe, of the U.S. Women’s soccer team recently said on camera in an interview, “I’m not going to the f**king White House.” She instantly became the left’s darling of the month and none other than the darling of the year Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted an invitation to her to come and tour Capitol Hill.
The arrogant soccer player quickly and gladly accepted.
Consider it done @AOC ?

Rapinoe’s now infamous scoffing response about a White House visit was uttered when Eight by Eight magazine asked her if she would be “excited to be going to the White House” in the event the team wins the World Cup tournament.

On Thursday this week at a team press conference, the player doubled down on her comments about any traditional White House visit, adding she would discourage her teammates from accepting an overture from the administration if it came. Watch and listen to those comments here …

“I stand by the comments I made about not wanting to go to the White House with the exception of the expletive,” she said. “My mom would be very upset about that.”
“Hopefully [we are] using [that platform] for good and leaving the game in a better place and hopefully the world in a better place,” Rapinoe quite ironically said. “I don’t think I would want to go. And I would encourage my teammates to think hard about lending that platform or having it co-opted by an administration that does not feel the same way and fight for the same things that we fight for.”
The irony in her self-aggrandizement about leaving the game in a better place, is in the fact that she has single-handedly turned off half of America to her team’s accomplishments and left a sour feeling about the sport in the minds of countless casual sports fans.
Just as NFL players and the league itself took advantage of their freedom to disrespect the flag of the country that gave them the opportunity to become ridiculously overpaid for playing a game, fans exercised their prerogative to turn their backs on the game in response. The soccer team has lost untold numbers of potential fans for the actions of one prima donna player.
The openly gay, leftist, rabidly anti-Trump athlete calls herself a “walking protest.” She told Yahoo Sports in May, “I’ll probably never put my hand over my heart. I’ll probably never sing the national anthem again.”
President Trump of course got wind of the disrespectful comments and he tweeted a few of his own back at her …
….invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!
