Wayfair execs deserve huge bonus for response to employees’ threats to walk out over border beds and AOC’s hype

Live by the diversity sword and so too shall you die by the diversity sword.

Company executives at the online retail giant Wayfair deserve a bonus for their stellar response to a group of employees who opted to bring their liberal political beliefs to work.

For the left, who claim to care about migrant children on the southern border, the way to show that care is to ensure that the kids are forced to sleep on the floor, as seen when a group of Wayfair employees realized BCFS, a government contractor that has been managing detainment camps, placed a $200,000 order for bedroom furniture, the Boston Globe reported.

The employees drafted a letter — signed by more than 500 workers — that was sent to management last week, and plan to stage a walkout to protest the order.

The liberal taint of the letter is impossible to miss.

“The practice of detaining children and adults at our Southern border has been condemned since its inception, but since the acceleration of the practice in 2018, and the increase in death and injury that has come with that acceleration, we have seen more vocal condemnation of the practice,” the letter read, according to The Globe. “We, the undersigned, are writing to you from a place of concern and anger about the atrocities being committed at our Southern border.”

Further assurance of their political leaning was seen when hard-left socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., rallied to their side — not only did Ocasio-Cortez falsely claim the U.S. is running concentration camps on the southern border, she has accused Border Patrol agents of “killing children.”

On Monday, the company’s executives responded with a letter of their own.

Showing the utmost respect for their snowflakes employees, Wayfair thanked them for their unhinged emotions passion, but informed them that “not all employees or customers agree” with their irrational position.

Oh, and the company intends to proceed with the order.

“Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns in the above letter,” the reply began. “We understand why you feel so strongly about this matter and we appreciate your passion and commitment. We are proud to have such an engaged team that is focused on impacting our world in meaningful and important ways.”

“We support the rights of all individuals to engage in their communities to drive change on the topics and issues they care about,” the letter continued. “As business leaders, we also believe in the importance of respecting diversity of thought within our organization and across our customer base. No matter how strongly any one of us feels about an issue, it is important to keep in mind that not all employees or customers agree.”

Wayfair informed the employees that the company doesn’t discriminate against customers “acting within the laws,” which effectively shut down the group’s political objectives.

“As a retailer, it is standard practice to fulfill orders for all customers, and we believe it is our business to sell to any customer who is acting within the laws of the countries within which we operate,” the company executives said. “We believe all of our stakeholders, employees, customers, investors, and suppliers included are best served by our commitment to fulfill our orders.”
