London acid attacks escalating and in broad daylight

Despite London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s insistence that the sprawling metropolitan is “safer” now than it was prior to him assuming office in 2016, a never-ending stream of evidence suggests otherwise.

Acid Attack In Broad Day

On Saturday two thugs in London were caught on camera throwing a “corrosive substance” believed to be acid inside an occupied vehicle and then driving off in their own vehicle.

A bystander filmed both the attack and the aftermath.

Watch:

“Witnesses from the scene said there had been a car chase previously, which resulted in one vehicle being driven off the road and into a wall,” the Metro reported. “They then described seeing an unknown attacker thrown a liquid over the two men. Onlookers in the area then ran to help to the victims, frantically pouring water over their bodies to try and wash off the acid.”

If only this was a single incident. But it’s not

Acid Attack By Men “Wearing Burkas”

According to the Evening Standard, earlier on Saturday a market stall worker suffered an acid attack by two men “wearing burkas.”

“It is alleged that the victim had been approached by two suspects, both wearing burkas, and had the substance thrown at him before they fled in a waiting car,” a police spokesperson said.

And again, all this happened in a single day.

Drive-By Acid Attack

Last Monday an unnamed 21-year-old victim suffered a drive-by acid attack when a car pulled up beside his vehicle and the driver hurled a substance suspected to be acid at him.

“At around 11:46 pm on Monday, June 17, police on patrol in [the London neighborhood of] Edmonton were stopped by a man reporting a substance had been thrown in his face,” a police spokesperson reportedly said. “It was reported that the victim, aged 21, was parked up in the driver’s seat of a car when another vehicle pulled up beside him on Chequers Road.”

“One of the occupants of the second vehicle then threw liquid into the victim’s face. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were declared not life changing or life threatening.”

These aren’t just random incidents. They’re part of a growing trend across London. According to data from the Metropolitan Police Service, there were 454 acid attacks in 2016, a shocking 173 percent increase from the 261 attacks in 2015, a year before Khan stepped into office.

The attacks continued in 2017, with the worst occurring in July of that year, when two teenagers reportedly went on a 90-minute acid attack rampage.

“Across 90 minutes in the city’s east, five moped riders were splashed in the face with acid, causing horrific injury in at least one case,” Deutsche Welle reported at the time.

“In the first incident, two assailants on a moped in Hackney stopped next to a 32-year-old man and threw acid in his face before one of them stole the victim’s moped. Over the next 90 minutes, three other men in Hackney and one in neighbouring Islington were attacked with corrosive substances, police said. All the victims were attacked while riding mopeds.”

Welcome to London, ladies and gentlemen …

Despite the rise in these stunning attacks, all of which come amid Khan’s push to promote “diversity” across London, he remains convinced that the metropolitan is “safer” than before.

“I’m quite clear that as far as London’s concerned we are a safe city,” he said with indignation after Gareth Bacon, a Conservative member of the London Assembly, questioned him last week over London’s growing crime woes. “Of course, I’m concerned about any incident of personal injury to a Londoner. We’re doing what we can to keep our city safe.”

Asked specifically about a rise in knife attacks — those too are a growing problem, Khan doubled down.

“I think we are safer,” he said.

Listen to a snippet of what he said below:

Tell that to the victims of Saturday’s attacks. One of the men seen in the video up top is reportedly so angry over what happened to him that he posted a “revenge selfie” to Snapchat.

“One of the alleged victims has now published a selfie on Snapchat vowing to take revenge on his attackers,” the Daily Mail reported. “In the claimed ‘revenge post’, the supposed victim is seen smiling calmly at the camera with the caption ‘You f***ed up, you should’ve killed me…. Long.. Snm’. ‘Snm’ is a slang abbreviation for ‘Say no more’.”

While vigilante justice must never be promoted or tolerated, it’s hard to blame the victim for responding like this, given as he lives in a city and nation that cares more about chasing after people who spout so-called “hate speech” than it does about solving real crimes. Not to mention a city whose mayor is more interested in talking trash about President Donald Trump.

“For those of you that have your phones on, if somebody starts tweeting about me ― a six-foot-three child in the White House ― can you let me know?” Khan snidely said during an education conference Saturday in Westminster’s Central Hall.

While it’s unclear if he used that forum to address his city’s growing crime problem, the chances seem inordinately low.
