Former Vice President Joe Biden’s scandal-plagued son Hunter Biden is back in the news again — and in more ways than just one.

First, word broke Thursday that last month in Arkansas a woman had filed a petition for paternity and child support against him. Moreover, she’d reportedly filed the petition only days after his wedding in California to a South African liberal activist named Melissa Cohen.

FYI, the surprise wedding itself reportedly occurred only weeks after Hunter had broken off his two-year relationship with his former sister-in-law, i.e., his dead brother’s widow.  If you think his love life sounds like something you’d hear on “The Jerry Springer Show,” you’re not alone …

“Lunden Alexis Roberts filed a petition for paternity and child support against Robert Hunter Biden in Independence County on May 28, days after Hunter Biden reportedly married another woman in California,” Arkansas’ newspaper of record, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, reported Thursday.

“The two-page suit states that Roberts and Hunter Biden ‘were in a relationship’ and that ‘Baby Doe’ was born in August 2018 ‘as a result of that relationship.’ It doesn’t say how or where they met or offer other personal details.”

According to the Democrat-Gazette, Roberts has asked 16th Judicial Circuit Court Judge Don McSpadden to establish Hunter as Baby Doe’s father and force him to pay for both the child’s health insurance and “all other just and proper relief.”

When questioned about the suit, her attorney Clint Lancaster of The Lancaster Law Firm in Benton refused to provide any details over concerns about her privacy.

“She really values her privacy,” he said. “This is a parenting and child support issue between her and Mr. Biden. She really does not want this to be a media spectacle. She does not want this to affect Joe Biden’s campaign. She just wants this baby to get financial support from the baby’s father.”

While that sentiment is certainly understandable, it’s not realistic in a day and age where the sons and daughters of politicians face constant scrutiny and, often, attacks.

Take the sons and daughters of President Donald Trump. On Father’s Day, the president’s critics mocked his 13-year-old son, Barron. Meanwhile, his adult children Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump are constantly disparaged by the left.

This isn’t to say that Republicans intend to respond to the news about Hunter’s baby mama drama by targeting him in the same fashion. Not at all. It is however to justify the right’s interest in scrutinizing his exceedingly suspicious past.

Speaking of which, Thursday was also the same day that ABC News finally decided to examine Hunter’s stunningly shady foreign business dealings.

“This is an issue Joe Biden has been dealing with since 2014, but it’s come up again because he’s now running for president,” ABC News reporter Tom Llamas announced Thursday morning.

“Republicans, including President Trump, are trying to hammer Biden over this. At issue, was Hunter Biden profiting off his dad’s work as vice president, and did Joe Biden allow it? We’re talking about millions of dollars in at least two countries.”

“It’s a question we tried to ask repeatedly,” he continued as footage of himself trying to question the former VP appeared on the screen. “But kept getting blocked. Questions about foreign deals his son Hunter Biden pursued in countries where Joe Biden was working as America’s top diplomat.”

“In 2014, Ukrainians sick of corruption revolted. Vice President Joe Biden went to Kiev to help the new government. But then something strange happened. Just three weeks later, a Ukrainian natural gas company accused of corruption appoints Hunter Biden … to their board of directors, paying his firm more than a million dollars a year. Hunter, a lawyer, who had just been discharged from the Navy Reserves for testing positive for cocaine. He had served on other boards but had no known experience in Ukraine or natural gas.”

Suspicious, yes?

According to Llamas, the Bidens’ alleged corruption also extends to China.

“It also happened in China,” he said. “This video shows Chinese diplomats greeting Vice President Biden as he arrived in Beijing in December of 2013. Right by his side, his son Hunter. Less than two weeks later, Hunter’s firm had new business creating an investment firm in China, involving the government-controlled Bank of China, with reports they hoped to raise $1.5 billion.”

From dating his dead brother’s widow to engaging in what appear to be corrupt business practices in Ukraine and China, and now, it would appear, impregnating a woman and then leaving her hanging, Hunter Biden seems to be … well, a train wreck, as noted by social media users:

Regarding the latter tweet, the thing to keep in mind is that the media IS in fact reporting all of this. Why? Well, the reason should be “obvious” …
