Six minutes … CNN cuts out of Orlando rally after Trump gets crowd chanting ‘CNN Sucks!’

Those with big egos tend to be overly sensitive to criticism, and well, judging by the way the folks at CNN reacted Tuesday evening to President Donald Trump’s presidential election re-launch, they must have egos bigger than life itself.

As the crowd began chanting “CNN sucks” and the president panned the media for their poor ratings, the left-wing network quickly cut away from the rally to begin its daily airing of grievances. Some reports suggest that MSNBC also cut away from the event.

Just minutes into his speech, the president had brought up the 2016 presidential election and described it as “a defining moment in American history.”

“The fact is the American Dream is back. It’s bigger and better, and stronger than ever, before. 2016 was not merely another four-year election. This was a defining moment in American history. Ask them right there,” he’d said, pointing to the “reporters” at the back of the crowd.

The crowd had responded by chanting “CNN sucks.”

“By the way, that is a lot of fake news back there,” Trump had continued about half a minute later. “That’s a lot. You know what I say, the amount of press we have tonight reminds me of the Academy Awards before it went political and their ratings went down the tubes.”

And that’s when CNN cut away from the rally:

While the president didn’t mention CNN by name, the network is among those that have suffered the most drastic drop in their ratings during the past two to three years.

According to the latest Nielsen Media Research data, last week the network fell to ninth place in total day ratings and 14th place in prime time ratings.

“CNN averaged 519,000 in total day viewership, including just 173,000 in the ages 25-54 demographic, its lowest of the year,” The Daily Caller reported Tuesday. “The network averaged 744,000 in prime time viewers.”

“CNN’s ratings continue the network’s recent nose dive. Last week, the Home and Garden TV channel nearly doubled the 24 hour cable news network in prime time ratings, averaging 1,289,000 viewers compared to 762,000 viewers for CNN.”

CNN is reportedly already off to a rocky start this week as well:

After cutting away from Trump’s rally Tuesday evening, CNN’s various anchors and pundits reportedly took to complaining about him having no desire whatsoever” to “do something different.”

“[I]s Donald Trump going to seize this moment to frame his argument to the American people as to why they should renew his contract for another four years, or is he just going to present us the Trump show, you know, and air his grievances and start the bashing of the free press,” CNN political director Davis Chalian kvetched.

“And he shows no desire whatsoever to try and actually seize this moment to do something different. But wasn’t it the media’s narrative that Trump had no accomplishments?”

CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger concurred with this perspective.

“He should say, ‘I’ve changed the country for the better.’ But he can’t keep himself from talking about his grievances,” she whined. “And I’m sure later in his speech he’ll get to his grievances with the Democratic candidates when he wonders off, but his first grievance as always was against the press.”

Why might that be, Miss Borger? Could it perhaps be because the president believes his favorability and approval ratings — and thus his chances of re-election — would be higher if the media didn’t lie incessantly about him and his administration’s policies?

“WHAT LIES!?” you ask.

Glad you asked …

Tuesday evening on CNN, political commentator Angela Rye said that Trump’s immigration policies — which consist of justifiably detaining illegal aliens — are leading America toward implementing the same “death camps” that Nazi Germany had used to exterminate the Jews:

Fact-check: FALSE!

Tuesday evening on CNN, news anchor Don Lemon suggested that Trump’s speeches shouldn’t be aired because airing them is equivalent to giving deceased Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler “a platform to spread [his] hate and propaganda and lies.”

Fact-check: FALSE!

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

These are just CNN’s known lies from Tuesday. It would require an entire book to cover every lie the virulently far-left network has told since Trump stepped into office two years ago — and an entire encyclopedia to cover every lie that the media as a whole have told since 2017.

And then there are the lies of congressional Democrats that the media invariably defend. Like the lie by socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that the president is detaining illegal aliens in “concentration camps.” After AOC made these disturbing remarks Monday, an army of mainstream media “journalists” rushed to her defense:

Most of the Jewish community appear to disagree, but what the heck would the Jews know about concentration camps? Why, we’re journalists, and we know everything!

But hey… wait a minute … why does everybody hate us so much? Hmmmm ….
