Trump and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just shockingly agreed on something

President Donald Trump and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are not two people you expect to agree on much.

He’s a businessman who thinks the government stands in the way more than it helps.

The impossible happened on Sunday, June 16, 2019 — the two agreed on something.

Perhaps the president was feeling the positive Father’s Day spirit. Whatever the reason was, he decided to take to his Twitter account on Sunday evening to let everyone know that he actually agreed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on something.

“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. ‘I think we have a very real risk of losing the Presidency to Donald Trump.’ I agree, and that is the only reason they play the impeach card, which cannot be legally used!” Trump tweeted.

The Ocasio-Cortez comment comes from a Sunday interview she gave to ABC’s “The Week.” The quote went a little longer than the president put in his tweet, but he certainly cut to the red meat with his interpretation.

“I think that we have a very real risk of losing the presidency to Donald Trump if we do not have a presidential candidate that is fighting for true transformational change in the lives of working people in the United States,” the congresswoman told Jon Karl in the interview.

Ocasio-Cortez was giving her thoughts on the batch of 2020 Democrats looking to challenge Trump in for the presidency.

She continued, “I think that if we elect a president on half-measures that the American people don’t quite understand — the agenda of a president, you know, that says we’re fighting for higher wages but we don’t want a $15 minimum wage, fighting for education but we don’t want to make colleges tuition-free, fighting for women’s rights, et cetera, but we don’t want to go all the way with that, then I think we have a very real risk of losing the presidency.”

Ocasio-Cortez said that an impeachment investigation is a “constitutional responsibility” and she revealed that the rumored frustration with Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) over her position that impeachment is not the best future for Democrats is “quite real.”

“I think it’s quite real,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “I believe that there is a very real animus and desire to make sure that we are — that — that we are holding this president to account.”

The congresswoman also went after Joe Biden in the interview.

Asked if the former vice president handled allegations of inappropriate touching against him well, Ocasio-Cortez said, “I think that’s something that he has to kind of show the electorate, I think that I, you know, I think that it is an issue where there is a struggle, I’ll be completely honest.”

She then added, “I don’t think that he has — I don’t — I wouldn’t say that it is an incredibly severe — like I don’t think that voters think that he is necessarily guilty of sexual misconduct or anything like that.”

Well, folks, don’t ever say there is no such thing as a Father’s Day miracle because we witnessed one this year. Two politicians who could not be more opposite put their differences aside and agreed on one thing — that there’s a good chance Trump will be reelected in 2020.
