Brennan rages over Trump’s foreign ‘dirt’ for oppo research comments, stirs fiery reaction of his own

Disgraced former CIA Director John Brennan, a man reportedly indirectly under investigation by the Department of Justice for participating in an alleged coup against President Donald Trump, copped a mighty big attitude Wednesday after the president pushed back on the theory that accepting information from a foreign power during an election is somehow wrong.

Asked during an interview with ABC chief anchor George Stephanopoulos whether he’d accept such information if offered it or instead report the offer to the FBI, Trump said he’d accept it.

“It’s not interference,” he said. “They have information. I think I’d take it. If I thought there was something wrong, I’d go maybe to the FBI, if I thought there was something wrong. But when somebody comes up with oppo research, right, they come up with oppo research.”

“‘Oh, let’s call the FBI.’ The FBI doesn’t have enough agents to take care of it. When you go and talk, honestly, to congressmen, they all do it. They always have, and that’s the way it is. It’s called oppo research.”

According to Brennan, this admission is proof that Trump is an “existential threat” to America:

The discussion on ABC was prompted by Stephanopoulos complaining about the president’s son Donald Trump Jr. having met with Russian operatives during the election after being offered information via email about then-Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Though nothing came of the meeting and the entire Trump campaign was effectively acquitted of “collusion” by special counsel Robert Mueller, the left still clings to the infamous meeting as an example of the allegedly dirty tricks that the president’s campaign had played.

“Should he have gone to the FBI when he got that email?” the ABC anchor asked.

“Let’s put yourself in a position,” the president replied. “You’re a congressman, somebody comes up and says, “Hey, I have information on your opponent. Do you call the FBI? I don’t think so.”

Clinton would have presumably agreed. During the election, she and her peers at the Democrat National Committee paid a shady firm, Fusion GPS, to prepare a dossier of dirt on Trump.

This firm in turn contracted British spy Christopher Steele to dig up this dirt. Steele in turn then allegedly reached out to his contacts within the Russian government to obtain this dirt.

These are all indisputable facts that, for some inexplicable reason, have been ignored by the mainstream media, by Democrats and by Brennan, never mind their astonishing implications, which are that it was the Democrats who accepted information from a foreign power and subsequently used it to try and affect the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

This piece of “oppo research” later wound up in the hands of the FBI, who subsequently used it to obtain a warrant to effectively spy on Trump’s campaign.

Listen to the relevant remarks from Trump’s interview with ABC below:

What’s truly remarkable about all this is that it links back to Brennan. Who, reports suggest, was responsible for elevating the fraudulent, smear-filled document into undeserved relevance.

Last month sources who spoke with Fox News revealed that there exists a DOJ email chain from 2016 that shows then-FBI Director James Comey informing his subordinates that Brennan had requested that the dossier be included in the so-called 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment, a report on Russian interference that predated Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion.

This claim jived with one by Sen. Rand Paul, who tweeted in March that, according to a “high-level source,” “it was Brennan who insisted that the unverified and fake Steele dossier be included in the Intelligence Report.”

Speaking on former White House deputy assistant Sebastian Gorka’s radio show two months later, retired U.S. attorney Joe diGenova and his wife, Victoria Toensing, went so far as to accuse Brennan of being responsible for the whole Russian collusion conspiracy theory itself.

“There’s no doubt that John Brennan is the core of the entire conspiracy to spy on domestic political opponents in the United States and to do what he did to frame Donald Trump,” diGenova said. “Brennan has always been an ugly, ugly person politically, ethically, and morally, and he carried it through to an awful degree when it came to Donald Trump.”

“They viewed the president as an immoral vulgarian who should not have the Oval Office and they were going to do everything they could to either prevent him from being elected or to evict him once he had been elected.”

By “they” he meant Brennan and disgraced for Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

Given Brennan’s glaring ties to the Steele dossier — a piece of “oppo research” from a foreign power — social media users were baffled at the disgraced former CIA director’s concerns over Trump potentially accepting information from a foreign power:

To be clear, no evidence has surfaced to confirm the veritable conspiracy theory that either Trump, his family members or his campaign team ever accepted information from a foreign power. The only ones who actually accepted such information were the Democrats and their allies …

Including Brennan!
