Joe Morrissey — a Democrat who served six months in jail for having sex with a teenager — won the Democratic primary for Virginia’s 16th Senate District.

Morrissey made headlines in 2015, when he was accused of having sex with his then 17-year-old secretary. The age of consent in Virginia is 18, which means he committed statutory rape.

In a bizarre twist, Morrissey, now 61, married the teenager. The couple has a child together.

Joe Morrissey pled guilty to having sex with a minor

In 2015, Morrissey pleaded guilty to contributing to the delinquency of a minor (a misdemeanor) and admitted that prosecutors had enough evidence for a conviction.

He spent six months in jail but continue to served in the Virginia state legislature during his jail stint. How do you swing that??

In this week’s senate primary election, Joe Morrissey defeated incumbent Democratic senator Rosalyn Dance, who was endorsed by Virginia’s disgraced governor, Ralph Northam.

Virginia’s racist governor Ralph Northam is still in office

As BizPac Review reported, Northam came under fire after a racist photo from his 1984 medical school yearbook surfaced. In the photo, Northam was apparently wearing blackface.

This scandal would have been enough to destroy the political career of any Republican. But Northam is a Democrat, so he’s given multiple chances.

Despite bipartisan backlash, Northam remains in office. So does his lieutenant governor, Justin Fairfax, who was accused of sexual misconduct by two different women.

Irony: Dems accused GOP gubernatorial candidate of racism

While Democrats continue to stand behind Ralph Northam despite his racist yearbook photo, the Democratic Party accused Northam’s Republican gubernatorial rival Ed Gillespie of being racist back in 2017.

A Latino voter group aligned with the Democratic Party ran one of the most overtly race-baiting political ads in history.

The ad, entitled “American Nightmare,” painted Ed Gillespie, his supporters, and President Donald Trump as violent racists who were hunting down minority children.

In the ad by Latino Victory Fund, a menacing white man in sunglasses is seen driving around in a pickup truck adorned with a Confederate flag and a “Gillespie for governor” bumper sticker.

The truck is seen targeting minority children, including a Latino boy, who urges his Muslim and black friends to run for their lives. “Run! Run! Run” the children scream to each other.

A narrator asks: “Is this what Donald Trump and Ed Gillespie mean by the American Dream?”

After receiving heavy backlash for its race-baiting and fear-mongering, Latino Victory Fund defended the ad, saying: “We will not shy away from calling racism for what it is. Our community deserves champions.”

So their “champions” are liberal men who rape underage black girls, sexually assault women, or wear blackface in photos for fun. Got it.
