If your friend sent you a photo of themselves hiking nearly naked with their newborn baby, you might be a tad concerned.
Add in the fact that the parent in the photo is sporting hospital underwear and you’d probably grow even more concerned.
Liberal activist and actress Amy Schumer divided her fans with an image posted to her Instagram account that showed her hiking with her newborn son, Gene, while wearing nothing but a bra and hospital underwear.
“5 weeks. Hospital underwear for life!” the actress wrote with the picture. She also added a photo of her napping with Gene to the post.

Some were a little put off by Schumer’s bizarre photo and made sure to say so in the comments.
“I’m sorry but I think your taking this whole ‘natural’ thing to an extreme… brush your hair and put some decent clothing on.. child birth is a great thing but you don’t have to let yourself go in return,” wrote one user.
“Amy Schumer is a tumor,” tweeted another in response.
“I think the biggest takeaway here is that Amy Shumer had fans in 2019,” wrote a user in response to a New York Post story saying Schumer’s post divided her “fans.”
“That’s just weird,” wrote another.

Though she earned plenty of backlash for the photo, Schumer also received words of encouragement from some.
“Thanks for being so raw and vulnerable about the realities of post partum life. There is so much pressure placed on new moms to ‘bounce back’ & it’s not real life. You’re doing amazing & you’re amazing & those hospital undies are COMFYYYYY,” wrote model Tess Holiday in response to Schumer’s photo.
“So people are ‘complaining’ about what new mum/mom Amy Schumer is wearing? FFS. It’s called real life. You go Amy!” wrote another.
Another responded, “Women just can’t win! You’re shamed if you show what’s real, you’re criticized for ‘bouncing back’ too quickly!! good on @amyschumer for showing that life with a newborn isn’t glamourous – that doesn’t mean you’ve ‘let yourself go.'”
While once an in-demand comedian and a popular actress, Schumer’s star has dimmed thanks to her increasing interest in shaming conservatives in interviews and through her activism.
“I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that he’s an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster. I will never again say that he is an orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster,” she said of the president at a standup show where two Trump voters walked out of the performance.
To give you an idea of how far Schumer has fallen, her 2015 film “Trainwreck” earned $110.2 million at the domestic box office. Her last lead effort in film, last year’s “I Feel Pretty,” made just $48.8 million. In between those movies, Schumer has become far more outspoken on politics and more aggressively anti-conservative.
In other words, she used to get attention for her comedy and successful films and she now only gets attention from posting concerning pictures of her strutting the open road in her hospital underwear.
