Hannity rolls out deep state ‘Day of Reckoning’ guest panel

Following special counsel Robert Mueller’s statement this week, Fox News host Sean Hannity assembled a panel of high-profile guests to talk about the quickly approaching “day of reckoning” for the “deep state” of government operatives who’ve been plotting against President Donald Trump.

“Night after night, we have literally been unpeeling the layers of this onion and ripping the mask off all of this corruption trying to get to the truth to expose what has happened here,” he said during his monologue Friday on FNC’s “Hannity.” “This was an attempt to literally fix a presidential election and destroy a duly-elected president. There is a deep state, and now their day of reckoning has come.”

Watch part of the panel discussion below:

According to the host’s first guest, retired U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova, this day is inevitable.

“The president of the United States picked Bill Barr,” he said. “He won’t be stopped. He will get to the bottom of this. That is the only thing that will bring the truth out. A federal grand jury and subpoena documents and get it done. … Mr. Barr is the perfect man at the right moment in history.”

In April Attorney General Bill Barr launched a formal investigation into the origins of the Russia probe. Meanwhile, Department of Justice Inspector General has been investigating whether former President Barack Hussein Obama’s administration committed FISA abuses. While the potential outcomes of these investigations remain unclear, they’re expected to be brutal.

DiGenova’s wife, Victoria Toensing, concurred with her husband but added that what Horowtiz and Barr uncover conceivably extend years into the past, way beyond the recent 2016 election.

“I think what’s scary is I do not believe that the 2016 election was the first rodeo on this kind of activity,” she said. “There is evidence, a FISA court opinion in 2017, that talks about the Obama administration violating FISA going back to 2012. There’s also evidence of how they went against their political opponents.

“If you remember, Mike Flynn was a thorn in the side of the Obama administration. … Let’s go back to 2014, when they set him up with that Russian woman and then had women immediately start typing that they were having an affair, when we know that’s false. And she’s now suing. And if that were true, you think she’d be suing? No, she just filed a lawsuit last week.”

That woman was Svetlana Lokhova.

“Since late 2016, legacy media outlets, one after another, ran articles that apparently left many people with the impression that Lokhova was a Russian spy who somehow got access to a high-level meeting in 2014, at which she approached Flynn, who was then the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, engaged him in a relationship, or possibly an affair, on behalf of Russian intelligence,” The Epoch Times notes.

When asked by Hannity whether Barr’s investigation may lead all the way back to former President Barack Hussein Obama himself, she replied, “Absolutely.”

Continuing the discussion, investigative reporter John Solomon noted that though “dirty tricks” and “character assassinations” have existed in nearly every election, never before in American history has election maneuvering also involved the FBI, the CIA and the NSA.

“Dirty tricks, character assassination, political opposition research, they’ve have been in elections for 40 years,” he said. “What distinguishes  this election is the fact that the United States government — the FBI, possibly the CIA, the NSA — were involved in carrying out a political dirty trick. And that should concern us all. Never in my lifetime have I known the FBI to do the sort of things that are now in open for all of us to see.

“You can’t ever find a time in history where the FBI and CIA sought to change the results of an election. Here you might have that as the final outcome of this investigation.”

What changed? The introduction of Obama and disgraced former FBI Director James Comey.

Like diDenova noted, “James Comey led the way.”

And so did Clinton, or so Hannity argued.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

As noted earlier in his monologue, the evidence suggests the Obama administration’s spying efforts were predicated on a “dirty Russian dossier bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton, the DNC” and then funneled to the FBI to be used as evidence of wrongdoing by Trump’s 2016 campaign.

“After Clinton lost, then the insurance policy kicked in,” Hannity said. “All roads lead back to the dirty Russian dossier bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton, the DNC, with funneled money through a law firm, into an op research firm. And then, a guy, a foreign national that put these Russian lies together. Then those Russian lies … a back door to spy on all things campaign Trump, all things transition team Trump, all things President Trump.”

And all this happened under Comey’s watch. So did Clinton’s inexplicable acquittal.

“Why was Hillary Clinton cleared?” Hannity asked. “Why did they rig that investigation. Why did Comey and [disgraced former FBI special agent Peter] Strzok change it from the legal standard of gross negligence to extreme carelessness?”

“There was clear evidence that this secret classified information was mishandled and put on a server, which made it illegal. Multiple felonies. Clear, incontrovertible evidence she destroyed the 33,000 subpoenaed emails and did all of the things to eliminate all of the evidence.”

Including wiping her server, destroying her BlackBerries, etc.
