Author Stephen King, a ranking member of the Trump Derangement Syndrome cabal, took to Twitter to comment on how the HBO miniseries “Chernobyl” reminds him of President Donald Trump.
The miniseries in about the 1986 catastrophe at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in the Ukraine, in the former Soviet Union, and we know Trump-haters have Russia on the brain.
Not that ex-Secret Service agent Dan Bongino was going to let King and Hollywood elites set the narrative without putting things into proper perspective.
“It’s impossible to watch HBO’s CHERNOBYL without thinking of Donald Trump; like those in charge of the doomed Russian reactor, he’s a man of mediocre intelligence in charge of great power–economic, global–that he does not understand,” King tweeted on Thursday.

Craig Mazin, the writer/producer of “Chernobyl,” no doubt a fellow Kool-Aid drinker, was quick to respond to King, thanking the famed author for linking his production to the president.
“First, I am so pleased that you’re watching. Second, I am so pleased that you’re smartly watching. Not that there was ever a doubt. ;),” he tweeted.

Not that there was ever a doubt. 😉

But King’s unhinged observation drew more than Mazin’s praise, as Bongino also responded.
Reminding them that Chernobyl “was a failure of socialism,” the former agent once tasked with protecting President Barack Obama accurately noted that this was the “exact opposite” of Trump’s agenda.
“Why do Hollywood elitists continue to publicly humiliate themselves on twitter?” he tweeted. “Chernobyl was a failure of socialism (where the govt controls the means of production), the exact opposite of the Trump deregulation and tax cut agenda.”

Sounding every bit like a liberal in post-Obama America, Mazin fired back, lecturing on morality while taking a swipe at Bongino, who he calls “the old man with a cane,” for worshiping Trump.
“Chernobyl was a failure of humans whose loyalty to (or fear of) a broken governing party overruled their sense of decency and rationality,” Mazin tweeted. “You’re the old man with the cane. You just worship a different man’s portrait.”

Bongino again pointed to the reality that socialism was the driving factor in what led up to the nuclear disaster… while calling Mazin a “clueless Hollywood elitist.”

Of course, given the militancy of today’s intolerant left, which is now dominated by socialists, Mazin did not have the option to agree with that assessment. Besides, if he did, how could he spin that into an attack on Donald Trump?
Hell, the Socialist Party of Great Britain even went so far as to claim that the Soviet Union was “state capitalism.”
You persist in trying to keep the lie going that socialism is “where the govt controls the means of production”. The truth (not that you’re interested in that, obviously) is that socialism is where THE PEOPLE own and control the means of production. The USSR had state capitalism. pic.twitter.com/ImQ9pxcIt6

By the way, the writer/producer got a cheap shot in on those who support President Trump, which has become a popular sport on the left.

Another response to Mazin is seen below, in reference to Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-avowed “democratic socialist.”

Ben Shapiro, too, drew the proper perspective of the new miniseries, that being the “evil of the Soviet Union.”
“Alternatively, it is impossible to watch HBO’s CHERNOBYL without thinking of the crappiness and evil of the Soviet Union and the attendant disaster of Chernobyl,” the conservative tweeted.

Here’s a sampling of other responses from Twitter of Mazin getting “Chernobyl’d by Bongino.”
@clmazin just got Chernobyl’d by @dbongino

The left are populated by emotional thinkers. The mostly feel everything, in place of actually thinking. Which of course leads to completely fixation on a situation in which they are angry about. The right did not like Obama, but the right got over it. Both times.

How could someone that wrote Shawshank Redemption, IT, Stand By Me, Misery and The Shining not have an original thought left? Somebody needs to put lsd in his coffee.

It’s amazing how the left can make literally anything about trump. It’s a show about a literal historic event….nah it’s a metaphoric representation of our current president…sure
