Director Rob Reiner laughably promises to prove ‘criminality’ in Mueller report: ‘people don’t know what’s in it’

While many Democrats in D.C. cannot think straight when it comes to President Donald Trump, Hollywood liberals have shown the most blatant examples of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Some have fallen so far down the rabbit hole that they seem to be almost completely disconnected from reality.

Case in point: Rob Reiner. While once a celebrated star from “All in the Family” and an acclaimed director behind projects like “Misery,” “Stand By Me” and “A Few Good Men,” Reiner now spends his days waving his fists at the sky and screaming about how terrible the president is. The director is so delusional at this point that he believes it is up to him to show the American people the “criminality” he believes is shown in the Mueller report.

Appearing on MSNBC on Friday, the director said people don’t understand what is inside the Mueller report and he is going to explain it to them through a series of videos.

Reiner was promoting the first of those videos which he made with fellow leftist Robert De Niro. The video features a number of prosecutors claiming Trump has broken the law.

“Here’s the thing … a couple days ago Mueller made his statement and it was wall-to-wall coverage on cable news. We’ve been talking about it ever since and that’s the reason why I made this video and why I’m going to make a couple more videos about the Mueller report, because people don’t know what’s in it,” said Reiner.

Wow. First of all, saying people don’t know what’s inside the Mueller report but Reiner does is unbelievably arrogant. Here’s what it comes down to. The Mueller report is a big nothing burger. Trump was accused of colluding with Russians in the 2016 presidential election and the report cleared him of that accusation. Unsatisfied with those results, leftists have clung to the fantasy that the president somehow obstructed justice. This is impossible since the president had the power to shut down the investigation at any time, but he never did. And even if the president were guilty of obstruction of justice, it would be for obstructing an investigation into a crime that never happened. Seems like Reiner is actually the one who is a little confused about what is in the report.

“Everybody said ‘well, it’s going to be a do-over and all this stuff.’ It’s not a do-over! It’ll be for the first time. Having Robert Mueller on television for everyone for eight minutes basically took up everybody’s oxygen and we talked about this for days,” continued Reiner.

Again, the director is very confused. Mueller said in his public statement that Trump is guilty of nothing. The most he could manage is that he couldn’t not prove Trump was guilty of obstruction, but that’s nonsense. Anyone with more than two working brain cells can you that you cannot prove a negative and it is not a prosecutor’s job to exonerate, but rather to gather evidence and make a legal determination based on that evidence. Mueller has made that determination, but he’s played politics and been afraid to officially disappoint liberals still fantasizing about impeachment.

Reiner went on to make the absurd claim that the Mueller report is “the biggest pile of criminality that has ever been put together against any president in our history.”

“We’re still talking about it and if we had hearing in Congress, that was on television, the public would start to understand what’s actually in the Mueller report, which is the biggest pile of criminality that has ever been put together against any president in our history,” the director said. “That’s what we are trying to do, get people to understand what’s actually in the report so that people will then say, ‘I don’t understand how we’re not indicting or holding this president accountable through impeachment.'”

Before Reiner became an insufferable leftist spouting ignorance on any cable news channel that will have him, he was a talented director. Maybe, just maybe, Mr. Reiner, you should stick to what you know, especially in this case.
