In a powerful video statement shared to Twitter on Friday, outspoken conservative Hollywood actor Jon Voight praised President Donald Trump as one of the greatest presidents in American history.
“People of the Republican party, I know you will agree with me when I say our president has our utmost respect and our love,” began the statement, which was delivered on Twitter via two separate tweets. “This job is not easy, for he’s battling the left and their absurd words of destruction.”
“I’ve said this once and I’ll say this again: that our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers, and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln.”
A moral code of duty based on the Judeo-Christian values of America’s Founding Fathers.
“I’m here today to acknowledge the truth, and I’m here today to tell you, my fellow Americans, our country is stronger, safer and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct,” he continued in direct contradiction to the narrative touted by the left.
“Don’t be fooled by the political left, because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph,” Voight continued. “So let us stand with our president, let us stand up for this truth: President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”
“God bless America. And may god continue to guide this nation. Much love,” he concluded.

This isn’t the first time Voight has delivered a passionate statement about the president, nor will it likely be the last. He’s been especially vocal about highlighting the president’s extraordinary accomplishments and also defending him from undeserved criticism.
He was among the first Hollywood conservatives to come out openly in support of Trump during the 2016 presidential election. At the time he made it clear that he didn’t give a damn what the then-GOP presidential candidates’ haters, be they Democrats or Republicans, had to say.
“There are many Republicans fighting to keep him from winning the Republican nomination,” he said in a statement to Breitbart News on March 19, 2016, the day he endorsed Trump.
“You know why? Because he has no bull to sell, and everyone will discover the bull most politicians spew out is for their own causes and benefits. They never dreamed they would be losing control. I am very disappointed at the talk show hosts, also spewing out lies and propaganda against Donald. Why, I wonder? The only thing I can think of is he represents a form of freedom none of them ever saw before, and they are bewildered about it, and frightened about it.”
What likely provoked his latest statement was the Democrat Party’s renewed allegations of corruption. It began in 2017 with allegations that the president had colluded with Russian operatives to affect the outcome of the presidential election. After that failed, Democrats began accusing the president of obstructing justice. With that having failed, Democrats have now taken to claiming he’s engaging in a “cover-up.” What’s he covering up? That remains unknown …
The last time Voight posted a Twitter video was right after special counsel Robert Mueller’s final report was made available to both Congress and the public last month.
At the time he posted a video praising Fox News host Laura Ingraham for pushing back against the Democrats’ latest lies and conspiracy theories regarding the president.
“You know the truth is very important right now most especially, and those who believe in the truth are to be cherished, people like Laura Ingraham,” he said.
“They’re wonderful people who we need very much at this time when our president is being attacked with lies and slanders from the media. So I have a message for Laura, and I want to send her my love, and I want to thank her for all that she does.”
Because of the left-wing media’s insistence that everything the Democrats say and claim is accurate — never mind the contradicting facts — conservative commentators such as Ingraham, FNC’s Sean Hannity and radio show host Mark Levin have had to work extra hard to inform the public of the actual truth. But it helps too that the president just issued an order this week granting Attorney General Bill Barr the authority to declassify all documents related to the Russia probe.
As for Voight, two months ago the president appointed him to serve on the Board of Trustees at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Moreover, the actor appears in the upcoming blockbuster film “Roe v. Wade.”
Despite facing criticism for starring in the politically charged film, Voight won’t back down.
“There is so much stuff that has been said about Roe vs. Wade, this decision of the Supreme Court in the 70s,” he said in an exclusive interview in February with the Daily Mail.
“Really people are talking about it and getting excited and upset but they know nothing about it. Thank God somebody said let’s make a movie about it and show all the aspects. The script was loaded with information that I never heard before. It is going to be exciting for people to see.”
