You have to give actress Julianna Margulies credit, she willingly admits that she has “gone insane” when it comes to her reaction to President Donald Trump.
Margulies is the latest Hollywood creation to publicly tout just how unhinged she is about Trump, appearing on CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to share how she would have nightmares about Trump and wake up in a sweat screaming.
“One of the things I stopped doing was I do not read the news at night because I was waking up in the middle of the night from nightmares,” the star of “The Good Wife” told Colbert.
“I had one dream … I was in a boardroom, there was a long table, and it was just a guy who’s in the Oval Office right now, sitting there and I walked in and I was screaming, screaming. … I mean I was going crazy and screaming,” Margulies said.
“That was 2016,” the actress continued. “And I woke up in a sweat and went, ‘Oh my god, I’ve gone insane and I have to stop reading the news at night.”
Margulies then reassured Colbert — and the audience — that she now gets her news strictly from the New York Times, NPR and “PBS NewsHour.”
Presumably, the liberal take of the news allows her to comfortably slip off into la-la land.
Or, at the very least, assures all that she’s on board with where to go for the latest Trump-hating propaganda.
The idea that Trump Derangement Syndrome is so prevalent in Tinsel Town may be more of a testament to how intolerant the left is than it is to Donald Trump, who was once the toast of the town. More than one conservative actor has let it be known that work in Hollywood is hard to come by if you don’t denounce the president.
For some on social media, the idea Trump lives inside liberal heads is all the reason more to reelect him in 2020.
