Speaking of Chris Wallace …Trump rips ‘Fake News Sunday Political Shows,’ but doesn’t name names

President Donald Trump got out in front of the typical bashing he has endured every Sunday morning throughout his presidency, blasting the popular talk shows as “Fake News Sunday Political Shows.”

A characterization that doesn’t exclude Fox News Sunday, given host Chris Wallace’s penchant for targeting the president.

With 92 percent of the coverage Trump receives on the evening news being negative, according to a 2018 study by Media Research Center, which called it “the most hostile coverage of a president in TV news history,” the president drew attention to a number of his accomplishments, beginning with the economy, in a series of tweets Sunday morning.

“For all of the Fake News Sunday Political Shows, whose bias & dishonesty is greater than ever seen in our Country before, please inform your viewers that our Economy is setting records, with more people employed today than at any time in U.S. history, our Military, which….

…was a depleted disaster, will soon be stronger than ever before, our Vets are finally being taken care of and now have Choice, our Courts will have 145 great new Judges, and 2 Supreme Court Justices, got rid of the disastrous Individual Mandate & will protect Pre-Existing….

After continuing with the list, Trump proclaimed: “Our Country is doing GREAT!”

Speaking of Chris Wallace, a registered Democrat, just last week he accused Attorney General William Barr of “clearly protecting the president.”

“Not saying he’s not right in everything he says,” Wallace said, “but he clearly is protecting this president and advocating his point of view on a lot of these issues.”

And earlier this month, Wallace was Pompeo-ed while interviewing Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who admonished him for misleading viewers because “you continue to be fixated on something Robert Mueller wrote.”

And let’s not even get started on NBC’s Chuck Todd, who doesn’t even try to hide his bias anymore, as he pressed House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler last month on “Meet the Press” on why Democrats are not already working to impeach President Trump.

“Why haven’t you opened an impeachment inquiry? Or, in fairness, is that what you’re doing right now?” Todd asked.

And while the president’s Twitter feed is a toxic wasteland of hate and dysfunction — that apparently passes CEO Jack Dorsey’s perplexing standards — a single tweet from a social media user captured the reality of the situation and the pending implications.

“If President Trump found a cure for cancer, the media would ignore it. The more of the media lies and distorts the truth and refuses to give President Trump credit, the more the American people fight for President Trump,” the tweet read.
