Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is reportedly furious that a growing chorus of Democrats want her to consider being Joe Biden’s vice presidential running mate since she’s trailing him (very badly) in the polls.
Harris — who has been a U.S. Senator for only two years — played the Race and Gender cards in response to the suggestion.
Congressional Black Caucus floated the suggestion
“It’s infuriating,” a Harris confidant told Politico. The anonymous source says the suggestion is insulting to a woman of color because it implies that Harris is not ready to be president because she’s a minority and female.
For the record, it was the Congressional Black Caucus that originally floated the idea of Harris being Biden’s vice presidential running mate. Kamala Harris is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. So where’s the racism?
Moreover, Harris has only been a senator for two years. In contrast, Joe Biden was a senator for 36 years before becoming the vice president of the United States. Say what you will about “Uncle Joe,” but you can’t call him inexperienced.
Delusional Kamala: Joe can be my running mate
A defensive and angry Harris responded by saying she thinks Biden would be a good VP running mate for her.
“I think Joe Biden would be a great running mate,” Harris said this week at campaign stop in New Hampshire. “As vice president, he’s proven that he knows how to do the job.”

Reality check: Biden is crushing Harris in the polls
If her fellow Democrats are suggesting that Harris take a backseat to Biden, it’s not because of racism or sexism. It’s because all the polls indicate that Biden is crushing the Democratic field.
Not only does Biden have almost 100% name recognition among Democratic voters (and among most Americans), but poll after poll indicates he’s the best-positioned to challenge President Trump. Why? Because Biden is considered a moderate, centrist Democrat — not a far-left radical socialist.
Most Americans are politically moderate. They are not far-left or far-right, so appealing to the fringes à la Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a losing formula for Democrats. And they know it.
Kamala Harris: I have a good track record
Meanwhile, Harris has been squawking nonstop that she’s ready to run the country. The California Democrat claims voters know that she’s ready.
“I will tell you that the voters, in my experience, are smarter than a lot of folks give them credit for,” Harris said. “And people would say, ‘Oh, they’re not ready for that. Oh, no one like her has done it before. Oh, it’s not your time. Oh, it’s going to be a lot of hard work.’”
Harris added: “And I didn’t listen. As far as I’m concerned, my track record on this issue tells me the voters are smarter than hearing and listening to all that noise.”
Kamala’s track record includes ignoring sexual harassment and Ponzi schemes
Many Democrats say Harris would make a good running mate for Joe Biden.
At the time, Kamala Harris was the Attorney General of California.
Harris refused to investigate Ponzi scheme run by Hillary pals
Harris is apparently also comfortable with looking the other way when her political allies commit crimes.
As BizPac Review reported, Harris was slammed by Latino activists for refusing to investigate the Ponzi scheme operated by nutritional supplement marketer Herbalife in exchange for bribes masquerading as “donations” from Herbalife lobbyist Heather Podesta.
Again: At the time, Kamala Harris was the Attorney General of California.
Heather Podesta was then married to Tony Podesta, the high-powered lobbyist with longstanding ties to Hillary Clinton. Tony’s brother, John Podesta, was the campaign manager for Hillary 2016 presidential campaign.
The last time we had a junior senator run for president during their first term in the Senate, we ended up with Barack Obama’s disastrous presidency.
