Former congressman Trey Gowdy spoke with Sean Hannity Monday night about AG William Barr appointing “bulldog” U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia collusion hoax. As part of that discussion, Gowdy publicly provided Durham a tip, saying: “So whoever’s investigating this, tell them to look for emails between Brennan and Comey in December 2016.”

As Chairman of the House Oversight Committee before leaving office in January, Gowdy was neck deep in the Russian election interference investigation, privy to details that have not yet been made public.

During the discussion, Gowdy did not indicate that he had knowledge of said emails … but neither did he say that he did not have knowledge of them. Either way, from what is now known of all that transpired in 2016 within the D.C. swamp, all roads are seemingly leading to former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey.

Gowdy, a former prosecutor, said that investigators have an “easy road map” …

“This is the fourth person that’s been charged with investigating the origins of the Russia probe. So I’m more interested in how quickly they do it and how effectively they do it more than the numbers. If this is the right person to do it, more power to them. There’s an easy road map to follow.”

Hannity asked Gowdy what specifically he believed should be investigated by Durham, who is tasked with intelligence collection efforts, aka ‘spying,’ “were lawful and appropriate.”

“We know the origins of the Russia probe, what the Russians did to us,” Gowdy said. “I want to know the origins of when the Bureau began to intermingle the Trump campaign with the Russia probe. You just quoted Lindsey Graham they want to stop Trump. All he was doing was quoting Peter Strzok. That’s what Peter Strzok said in a text. ‘No, we’ll stop it.’ So what are the origins, then I want to know how did the FBI assess Christopher Steele? They have their own internal documents.”

Hannity posed the question about whether or not the Russian dossier was used to lie to the FISA court in order to “undo a duly elected president” and take him down.

“The lead agent in charge of investigating this said he thought Trump would be destabilizing, had an ‘insurance policy,’ and promised his lover he would stop it. You answer it,” Gowdy said.

Regarding the issue of how the FBI viewed Christopher Steele, who provided the now debunked dossier that formed the basis of the FISA warrants used to gain approvals for surveillance of Trump campaign aides, Gowdy said, “I think you’ll be surprised at whether or not they viewed Steele as being credible.”

He also stated that the FBI “withheld exculpatory information in the FISA applications. “I can tell you it is even worse than what you (Hannity) described. It is what you described, in addition to the withholding of exculpatory information, they made no effort to corroborate the dossier until after it had been used in the application and a renewal. No effort. It’s not that they failed, it’s that they made no effort to do it.”

It seems the forecast is becoming more certain for Brennan, Comey, James Clapper, and many others wallowing on the left side of Washington, D.C. … dark days are ahead indeed.
