Mike Pence warns Christian grads they’ll be attacked by media, Hollywood, ‘secular left’ like never before

Vice President Mike Pence warned graduating seniors at Liberty University that they will be mocked and attacked for their Christian faith once they leave the campus of their Christian college.

Pence made the remarks May 11 at Liberty University’s 2019 commencement in Lynchburg, Virginia.

VP: Media, Hollywood liberals, and the secular left will attack you

Pence urged students to remain steadfast and not crumble in the face of unprecedented attacks — both verbal and physical — against Christians.

He warned that these attacks will come from the media, a “bevy of Hollywood liberals,” and “the secular left.”

Pence pointed to the example of Hollywood leftists (like Alyssa Milano) protesting George’s new “heartbeat law,” that bans abortions after six weeks, which is when a fetal heartbeat is detected.

“Some of the loudest voices for tolerance today have little tolerance for traditional Christian beliefs,” Pence said (via Fox News). “So as you go about your daily life, just be ready.”

VP Mike Pence: ‘Just be ready’

Pence pointed out that there has been a disturbing change in American culture, where the left openly targets, mocks, and discriminates against Christians. He noted that this is a relatively new phenomenon.

“Throughout most of American history, it’s been pretty easy to call yourself Christian,” Vice President Pence said. “It didn’t even occur to people that you might be shunned or ridiculed for defending the teachings of the Bible.”

But now it’s commonplace, thanks to a radical anti-Christian shift in the left-wing media.

“These attacks on Christian education are un-American,” he said, and underscored that President Trump has taken “decisive action to protect religious liberty.”

Media don’t care that Christian persecution is at genocidal levels

Vice President Pence also referenced a recent report showing that global persecution of Christians is at genocidal levels.

“Yesterday, I was informed by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom that today, Christians suffer more persecution around the world than any other religion,” Pence said.

The report noted that political correctness was responsible for this anti-Christian bigotry not being confronted by the media or by lawmakers.

AOC ignored Easter Sunday attacks on Christians

What Pence is saying is true: There has been an alarming spike in open hostility toward Christians.

On Easter Sunday, Islamist terrorists murdered 369 people in three separate attacks on Christian churches in Sri Lanka.

Not only did Democrats like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton refuse to call the victims “Christian,” but attention-whoring leftist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did not even bother to acknowledge the attacks.

In contrast, AOC tweeted 14 times about the one New Zealand mosque attack that left 51 dead.

The death toll in the Easter Sunday attacks on Christians was 7 times higher than the New Zealand mosque attack, but AOC ignored it completely. So did many other Democratic lawmakers, who screeched nonstop about the mosque attack.

Public school children being brainwashed about Islam

Then, there’s the disturbing trend in U.S. public schools where Islam is being force-fed to American children — at taxpayer expense, without their parents’ consent or knowledge.

Keep in mind that only Islam is taught in these public schools, but Christianity is totally ignored.

When concerned mothers inquire about their children being brainwashed in Islam, they get attacked as racist bigots.

Libby Hilsenrath and Nancy Gayer say it’s great that their children are learning about Islam at the Chatham Middle School in New Jersey ― but not if it’s to the exclusion to Christianity and other religions.

Hilsenrath said her child’s “world cultures and geography class” only discusses Islam but doesn’t teach about the Christian and Jewish religions.

“I think it crosses the line, [teaching] one religion and not others,” Hilsenrath said.

Lesson taught in public schools: ‘There is no God but Allah’

Hilsenrath was shocked after learning that students were given extensive lessons detailing the five pillars of Islam and were taught “there is no God but Allah” and “Mohammed is the messenger.”

The concerned mom was told that Islam is part of the Chatham Middle School’s “core curriculum.”

Again: This is in American public schools, which are supposed to be non-religious.
