AOC panders to low-income by playing dumb: ‘I’m told this is a garbage disposal…I’ve never seen one’

Freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez tried to pander to her Bronx constituents by claiming she doesn’t know what a garbage disposal is because she grew up in the ‘hood, where garbage disposals don’t exist. (Yes, they do.)

For the record, AOC grew up in the posh hamlet of Yorktown Heights in Westchester, New York, where the median household income is a cushy $96,000 a year.

That’s almost double the U.S. average, which is $53,000 a year.

‘Is this what social mobility is?’

For some reason, the carpet-bagging Ocasio-Cortez represents the Bronx. She made the laughable claim about discovering what a garbage disposal is at the age of 29 in a contrived Instagram video:

“OK everyone, I need your help because I just moved into this apartment a few months ago. And I just flipped a switch and it made that noise and it scared the daylights out of me.

“I am told this is a garbage disposal. I’ve never seen a garbage disposal. I never had one in any place I’ve ever lived.”

“This DC apartment is bougie and has things I’ve never seen before. Is this what social mobility is? Using kitchen appliances you never saw growing up?”

Of course, the irony is that even if Ocasio Cortez never had a garbage disposal at her home, she probably was exposed to one during her storied career as a bartender.

They also show garbage disposals on TV shows.

Twitter hilariously mocks AOC’s pandering

Twitter had a field day mocking Ocasio-Cortez’s retroactive, imaginary poverty. Some pointed out that the Green Deal cheerleader should know what a garbage disposal is, since they reduce food waste.

One person snarked: “Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal did not even consider how kitchen garbage disposals reduce food waste in landfills. Let that sink in.”

Another pointed out that “even Cabrini Green (a notoriously impoverished housing project in Chicago) had garbage disposals. How has she never seen one before? Is some of this stuff an act?”

“There seems to be no signs of intelligence life” here.

“You can’t fix stupid.”

“Can’t wait to hear her [mind] blowing thoughts when she finds out about the flushing down button on her new DC toilet.”

AOC is ‘an empty vessel with a really loud mouth’

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s disingenuous attempts to portray herself as an underprivileged minority ring so hollow with her constituents that many dismiss her as a vacuous bimbo.

As BizPac Review reported, Bronx resident Mike Volpe says he will vote for anyone who challenges Ocasio Cortez, because he can’t stand her contrived cluelessness.

Volpe said: “I think a lot of people are starting to realize that [Ocasio-Cortez] is an empty vessel with a really loud mouth.”

‘Just a dumb kid who answered a casting call’

Luana Malavolta, a resident of Queens, agrees. “I think [AOC] is just a dumb kid who answered a casting call, she said.

Ocasio Cortez’s popularity has cratered due to her unending stream of embarrassing gaffes and false statements.

Flashback: AOC used racist ebonics to pander to black voters
