Trump scolds reporter pressing for details about Putin phone call: ‘you are very rude’

President Donald Trump made it clear he was not happy with a reporter during a Friday press conference.

Trump took to Twitter on Friday to announce that he had a “very good conversation” with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Had a long and very good conversation with President Putin of Russia. As I have always said, long before the Witch Hunt started, getting along with Russia, China, and everyone is a good thing, not a bad thing,” tweeted the president.

He continued by saying that the two discussed everything from the ongoing situation in Venezuela to the “Russian Hoax,” clearly referencing the recent release of the Mueller report.

“We discussed Trade, Venezuela, Ukraine, North Korea, Nuclear Arms Control and even the ‘Russian Hoax.’ Very productive talk!” he tweeted.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders told press that the phone conversation between Trump and Putin lasted for over an hour. She also clarified that the Mueller report was only briefly discussed.

While a “productive” conversation between two world leaders is usually a good thing, many liberals simply can’t accept the results of the Mueller investigation and they are now doing everything they can to paint the president in a bad light.

Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) even took to Twitter to twice suggest that the phone call between Trump and Putin may equate to “treason.”

Speaking to press at the White House on Friday, the president fielded questions about his phone call with Putin, but his answers weren’t enough to satisfy some reporters.

Asked if he brought up “election meddling issues that came up in the Mueller report” while speaking to Putin, Trump replied by saying that the Russian president was merely amused at how the two-plus year investigation essentially led nowhere.

“We discussed, he actually, sort of smiled when he said something to the effect that it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse, but he knew that because he knew there was no collusion whatsoever. So, pretty much that’s what it was,” Trump said.

That answer was not enough for some hungry sharks looking to pretend the Mueller investigation is not over.

Another reporter, identified as NBC’s Kristen Welker by Mediaite, then asked the president, “Mr. President, did you tell him [Putin] not to meddle in the next election?”

Shocked by the interruption, the president called the reporter “very rude.”

“Excuse me, I’m talking, I’m answering this question. You are very rude. So we had a good conversation about many different things, okay?” said Trump.

Welker then repeated her question.

“We didn’t discuss that, really, we didn’t discuss it. We discussed five or six things, we also — we went into great detail on various things, especially I would say the nuclear, especially maybe Venezuela, we talked about North Korea at great length and pretty much that’s it,” replied Trump.

He continued, “Also discussed trade, we intend to do a lot of trade with Russia. We do some right now, it’s up a little bit but he’d like to do trade and we’d like to do trade. And getting along with Russia and China, getting along with all of them is a very good thing, not a bad thing, it’s a good thing, it’s a positive thing. Getting along with other countries, including your country, by the way, but getting along with countries is a good thing, and we want to have good relationships with every country.”

Trump was then asked if Robert Mueller should testify about his investigation.

The president simply answered, “I don’t know. That’s up to our Attorney General, who I think has done a fantastic job.”
