Senator Chuck Grassley scorched Democrats and the press in an epic response to a question about Attorney General William Barr’s Senate testimony.
The Iowa Republican told reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday that the “jig is up” on the Russian collusion delusion that Democrats – with help from the liberal media – have been pushing for two years, adding that everyone was sold a bunch of “snake oil.”

Reporters probably didn’t even know what hit them as the senator politely listened to and then answered a question during a break in Barr’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. He defended Barr’s assessment of Robert Mueller report, dismissing the media’s latest spin on how the special counsel was unhappy with Barr’s summary of his findings.
“The last time he was here they said, ‘Has Bob Mueller expressed any concerns to you?’ He said no, he doesn’t know of any concerns. He had a letter that clearly said there are concerns,” a reporter asked the lawmaker.
“He had that conversation and you heard him say, and I have to assume that Mueller said it to him, that he was only concerned about how the media played it,” Grassley said, referring to Mueller’s letter to Barr complaining about “public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation.”
Barr indicated that he had called Mueller after the complaints and was told “he was not suggesting that we had misrepresented his report.”

“Here’s where we are,” Grassley went on, in a calm and polite tone.
“The Democrats and you folks in the media are not concerned about the report,” he pointed out.
“I think you’re concerned about the results weren’t what you expected. And I think we’re finding out that everybody was sold a bunch of snake oil, and now the jig is up!” he said, before abruptly turning and simply walking away.
The only thing missing was a microphone which the senator could have dropped after the amazing rebuttal. The video clip, posted by Jeff DeRiso on Twitter ended with “Deal With It.”
Rep. Devin Nunes re-tweeted the video, calling it “Perhaps the best @ChuckGrassley clip of all time…”

Grassley owned the liberal media without name-calling or even raising his voice. His exposure of the hearings as pure political theater by Democrats and the left won the internet as the video went viral.
Lmao the Jig is up……get that snake oil Dems.
