In an abominable argument attempted in favor of abortion this week, progressive State Representative John Rogers said on the floor of the Alabama House, “Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later.”
Democrats are apparently in a contest to determine who among them can be the most hateful and repugnant.

The comment by Rogers, a Democrat who has been in office since 1982, was made debating a bill that would ban most abortions in the state. “You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later,” he said.
U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne, an Alabama Republican who is challenging Democrat Sen. Doug Jones in 2020 tweeted …
It’s an abomination that Alabama has a Senator in @DougJones who is unabashedly pro-abortion & refuses to stand up to this type of extremism from members of his party in defense of innocent human life.
Alabama deserves a 100% pro-life voice representing us in the US Senate. https://t.co/Mpz5EbXhaI

First the comments from Ralph Northam on infanticide & now this.
One of the most horrific statements I've ever heard coming from a Democratic representative on abortion. The barbaric embrace of murder from the Dems is despicable. Every life is precious & worth fighting for. https://t.co/nY298wyRi0

Outrage is dominating the Twitterverse in response to Rogers’ completely heartless opinion.
On unborn babies: “You kill them now or you kill them later.” And THIS is the party that wants to “make America moral again”? https://t.co/aBrVrha2rK

The #DemocratParty is full of soulless disgusting people. Nothing is beyond the pale if it suits their political agenda of progressive liberalism and kills off the opposition. Even the weakest among us, infants and the aged. #DeathPanels they lied about then ridiculed #SarahPalin

I’m sure all those who survived poverty , abuse or misfortune of thier pre-adulthood , live in a happiness of who they have become now , would find this grossly insulting. That man was elected? Insanity at it’s best.

The Alabama House passed the pro-life bill, House Bill 314. Republican State Rep. Terri Collins sponsored the bill.
“The heart of this bill is to confront a decision by the Court in 1973 that says that the child in the womb is not a human being,” said Collins, according to Alabama Political Reporter. The bill “makes it a criminal offense to perform an abortion as a doctor. The woman would be held blameless.”
Rep. Rogers claimed he is a Catholic and is personally pro-life. But he said that women need options. “Some parents can’t handle a child with problems. It could be retarded. It might have no arms and no legs,” he said.
Planned Parenthood (PP) weighed in on the Alabama bill, saying they were going to fight it in the State Senate.
“Today’s floor debate made it crystal clear what Alabama lawmakers think about women,” said PP President and CEO Staci Fox. “It also revealed just how callous and flagrant they can be. They voted overwhelmingly to reject any exception for rape or incest. And, despite acknowledging that this bill will inevitably end in litigation, costing the taxpayers millions of dollars, they rejected the opportunity to ‘put their money where their mouth is,’ as Rep. Merika Coleman put it, and pay for that litigation themselves. Instead, they are forcing the people of this state to fund this political game they are playing, with Alabama women as their pawns.”
