Ingraham slams Fox colleague Chris Wallace over his take on Mueller letter. I guess he agrees with other cable networks.

Fox News Laura Ingraham blasted colleague Chris Wallace for his take on an explosive Washington Post article about special counsel Robert Mueller expressing his concerns to Attorney General William Barr that his summary of Mueller’s report did not capture the “context, nature, and substance” of the investigation’s findings.

A timely leak that came one day before Barr is scheduled to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“The meltdown on the other cable channels last night as we were broadcasting the “Ingraham Angle” was something, really, for the ages,” Ingraham said of the story.

She noted that both Mueller and Barr have spent “decades” in the legal profession.

“Both men have enormous experience in dealing with really complex matters,” Ingraham said. “But the idea that Bill Barr set about to fundamentally distort and misrepresent a 448 page report that he knew would be, almost in its entirety released, except for redactions that were agreed upon, the deal that he would do that to what, ruin his entire career and be roundly ridiculed, is preposterous.”

Ingraham dismissed what she characterized as a “frothy frenzy” on the other cable networks by highlighting that Mueller agreed in a conversation with Barr that nothing in the attorney general’s letter was inaccurate or misleading, but did express concern over the resulting media coverage, which was misinterpreting the investigation.

She then set her sights on Wallace.

“I guess that he kind of agrees with these other cable networks that this was an attempt by the DOJ to spin what the conversation was between Barr and Mueller,” Ingraham said.

“I don’t know if Chris Wallace has information that I don’t have,” she continued. “But that he’s saying that Barr is perpetuating a lie about this conversation between him and Mueller? I mean, I think if Mueller thought that this investigation was being distorted in its synopsis by Barr, Bob Mueller is a big boy, he could have come out and issued a very terse public statement. He did not do that.”

Ingraham went on point out that instead, “one of the other members of the merry band of investigators decided to leak this letter right before Barr comes up to testify.”

In an earlier appearance, Wallace said Barr will get “roasted” by Democrats.

“Barr is a tough guy, he’s been an attorney general – this is his second term at it. He is very competent, very smart, very tough so I’m sure he is going to give as good as he gets from the Democrats,” he said. “But they are going to be angry at him for the way they feel he has misled the country on the elements, the essential context of the Mueller report.”

“I think Bill Barr is going to get roasted today by the Democrats and the Republicans are going to have to do some rehabilitation to try to restore him,” Wallace added.
