With the presidential thing not working out so well for her, Hillary Clinton may be looking to pursue comedy as an alternative.
At least, the two-time failed presidential candidate seems to think she’s funny, as seen when Clinton tried to impersonate President Donald Trump in a bit designed to plug liberal comedian Jordan Klepper’s new Comedy Central show.
In the stunt, Jordan enlisted Bill and Hillary Clinton to advise him on crowdfunding campaigns he should support and has Hillary read a portion of the Mueller report — where Trump reportedly said, “I’m f—ed.”
(That the Clintons play along to draw attention to his show says all that needs to be said about the expected political leanings.)
“Here’s an interesting one. Fund a audiobook of the Mueller Report as read by Hillary Clinton,” Klepper said.
The GoFundMe page is looking to crowdsource $200,000 to get Clinton to read the nearly 400-page report, and Klepper notes that he just happens to have a copy of the report.
“Let me start it,” Hillary Clinton replied. “I’d be happy to.”
“The investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency,” she begins reading dryly.
“Feel it, Secretary Clinton,” Klepper interjected, as if directing. “Feel it, just imagine like you have a history with this.”
Clinton continues reading and get’s to the Trump’s response when he learned that a special counsel had been appointed, lowering her voice to impersonate the president.
“The President slumped back in his chair and said, ‘Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m f*cked,” she reads, with the F-bomb being bleeped out.
The left portrays that part of the Mueller report as if Trump’s words are an admission of guilt, which is not the case.
In broader context, the president said he was “f*cked” because he feared the special counsel would impede his ability to govern.
What the left does not include are the rest of Trump’s words.
“Everyone tells me if you get one of these independent counsels it ruins your presidency. It takes years and years and I won’t be able to do anything. This is the worst thing that ever happened to me,” he said, according to the Mueller report.
What’s a good Comedy Central show without a serious dose of liberal propaganda, as seen when the trio discuss a Kickstarter campaign to send Attorney General William Barr “back to law school for continuing legal education.”
(Barr’s crime in the eyes of the left was not to pursue obstruction of justice charges against the president, which Mueller also chose not to do.)
“We gotta really digest what’s in the Mueller Report, because we know what the attorney general said about it is not true,” Slick Willy said in the full clip. “Because he misrepresented it.”
“He should go to law school,” Hillary chimes in. “Maybe we should send him to law school.”
“Yeah, if someone wanted to fund his continuing legal education, I’d be for that,” the former president agreed.
The irony here is Hillary Clinton wasn’t laughing when the Mueller report came out, as seen in a Washington Post op-ed she did that claimed it documented a “serious crime.”
“Our election was corrupted, our democracy assaulted, our sovereignty and security violated,” Clinton wrote. “This is the definitive conclusion of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s report. It documents a serious crime against the American people.”
If she truly felt this way, it’s fair to think that she wouldn’t be joking about it a week or so later.
