Kamala blows off director of Hispanic engagement at Turning Point USA and it doesn’t go well: ‘Don’t touch me!’

2020 Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris is facing criticism on social media for refusing to take questions from a Hispanic activist who tried to confront her at an airport Saturday about her alleged exploitation of Hispanic women and children.

According to Anna Paulina, the director of Hispanic engagement with the Turning Point USA nonprofit, the 2020 contender’s support for “family reunification” is a boon to child sex traffickers.

When she ran into and attempted to confront Harris about this Saturday, the senator refused to give her the time of day, as can be seen in the following video of the altercation:

“Hi. I’m the director of Hispanic engagement at Turning Point USA. I want to know about the children that you are saying that are at the border right now,” Paulina can be seen saying.

Instead of sticking around to speak with Paulina, Harris began maneuvering away from her and toward a couple bystanders who apparently were seeking to take photos with her.

“Wait, can you answer this question real quick?” Paulina asked.

“They asked me to take a picture,” Harris replied as she gra bbed one of the bystanders by the arm.

That’s when one of the senator’s security personnel or aides intervened by jumping in the Turning Point USA activist’s face and demanding that she back off.

This exasperated Paulina.

“She is damaging what is happening to Hispanic women and children at the border, because she’s promoting family reunification, which child sex traffickers are directly linked to,” she replied.

As the 2020 contender finished taking a photo with the aforementioned bystanders, she then began walking away from Paulina, making it clear she had no interest in answering tough questions.

“You’re not commenting on this issue,” Paula said as Harris fled the scene. “You are directly impacting the Hispanic demographic in a negative way. You are directly impacting what is happening with the children in this country, and you are not doing what you’re supposed to be doing as a representative, representing women in this country. Shame on you. You’re not going to win.”

Nor is she going to win herself any favors with the American people, who it appears would like to know why she so adamantly refused to answer some simple questions from a Hispanic activist:

While the legitimacy of Paulina’s argument against Harris is unclear, what’s known is that there is indeed a child trafficking problem across the southern U.S. border. Moreover, this problem exists in part because of congressional Democrats like Harris, among others.

Earlier this year Democrats sneaked a disastrous provision into an omnibus spending bill. That provision explicitly said that none of the money allocated to the Department of Homeland Security could be used to detain or deport “a sponsor, potential sponsor, or member of a household of a sponsor or potential sponsor of an unaccompanied alien child.”

In other words, the provision made it so that any migrant who crosses the border illegally with a child in stow cannot technically be touched by DHS and its sub-agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

This policy wound up engendering a “recycling” operation wherein smugglers and traffickers use children to get certain illegal alien adults across the border, drag the children back across the border to Mexico and then use them again to funnel even more adults into the U.S.

DHS is attempting to remedy this problem by collecting “biometric data” from illegal alien children, including fingerprints, to protect them from traffickers and sex traffickers.

While it’s unclear how Harris personally feels about these collection procedures, some members of the Democrat Party’s radical base have expressed opposition:

Late last year the Trump administration announced that five illegal alien adults who’d claimed to be the parents of the children they’d crossed the border with were in fact human traffickers.
