Outspoken liberal and Trump critic Cher is moving further and further to the right.
It was only a week ago when the musician broke from the far left — where her beliefs usually land her — to say that American cities need to be taking care of citizens before worrying about illegal immigrants.
“I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More,” the singer and actress wrote.
The sentiment earned some shocked reactions and even inspired a positive response from President Donald Trump.
“I finally agree with @Cher!” tweeted Trump.
The shoutout from the president did not sit well with liberal Cher. She even called the president a “thug” in response.
“I AGREE… THAT DEMS STILL DONT GET [it], THEY’RE PLAYING POLITICS, & trump’s PLAYING BUTCHER YOUR ENEMIES & CREATE CONSTANT MAYHEM,” the musician tweeted. “HE’S IGNORANT THUG WITH LIZARD BRAIN THAT GUARANTEES HIS SURVIVAL ABOVE ALL ELSE. IF DEMS R WAITING 4 HIM 2 HAVE EPIPHANY,GOOD FKNG [luck].”
Despite her negative reaction to being aligned with the president on policy, Cher has now continued her journey into conservatism.
Following Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who is hoping to get the Democrat nomination to run against Trump in 2020, saying he supports criminals, including the infamous Boston Marathon bomber, having the right to vote in elections, Cher took to Twitter to blast the politician.
“Does Bernie Sanders Really Believe Ppl In Prison Who Are
Murderers⁉️ Rapists⁉️ Child Molesters⁉️ BOSTON BOMBERS …STILL DESERVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE⁉️” tweeted Cher.
The new tweet earned Cher more attention from conservatives convinced the Hollywood liberal is in the middle of a political awakening.
“Oh, oh. I think Cher is starting to move in our direction. Hollywood is going to have to make her a non-person if she keeps this up. One thing fascists can’t stand is people thinking for themselves,” tweeted conservative filmmaker and author Dinesh D’Souza.

Responses from the left were not as positive. Cher dealt with so many negative responses that she actually took to Twitter only two hours after her Bernie tweet to vent her frustration with the same growing partisanship that she has fed for years with her extreme rhetoric towards the president and his supporters.
“This site is not worth it at The Moment‼️I’m Hated On trump side, ‘GOOD’ & Misunderstood By What I Thought Was My Side. Do I Screw Up Sometimes, Yeah. Throw The First Stone,” tweeted Cher.
Cher seems to be going through what many on the left are no doubt currently going through. She is beginning to see the president and the challenging Democrats based on the substance of their words as opposed to their personalities. She is beginning to more and more be pushed to the right by increasingly leftist politicians like Sanders, but then she’s too scared to stick with her guns because she then becomes associated with Trump and his supporters, people you almost need to hate as a prerequisite to get a job in Hollywood.
