Kellyanne Conway was pulling no punches after Attorney General William Barr’s press conference and the release of Robert Mueller’s report.
The White House counselor to the president unloaded on Democrats, slamming them for the “political proctology exam” they put President Trump through and declaring that he has emerged with a “clean bill of health” despite their efforts.

Conway spoke with Fox News and directly to reporters outside the White House where she delivered a scathing rebuke of the liberal media’s biased reporting throughout the nearly two-year investigation by the special counsel into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 election.
She reiterated that “intent matters” in discussing the findings of Mueller’s report that there was no criminal intent to collude by the president or his team, responding to Fox News host Harris Faulkner who noted that the report did reveal some “things that were unflattering to the President.”
“So? I mean, intent matters. That’s the whole point here. Look, what all these people have had to say, over millions of words, thousands of hours on TV and in print, on Twitter, has zero legal significance. What matters is what the Department of Justice and the Special Counsel concluded here, which is no collusion, no obstruction, and complete exoneration, as the President says,” Trump’s former 2016 campaign manager said.
“This has been a political proctology exam and he’s emerging with a clean bill of health. There’s no other way to look at it,” she added, noting that Trump has been in a “great mood” following the news. The president announced that he was having a “good day” at the White House Thursday, speaking at an event from the East Room with wounded military service members.

“I’m having a good day too. It was called ‘no collusion. No obstruction.’ I’m having a good time,” Trump said. “There never was, by the way, and there never will be.”
Conway turned up the heat on Democrats, declaring that they’ve “got nothing going into 2020” as she called again for the resignation of Rep. Adam Schiff as House Intelligence Committee Chairman.
“Not only should he resign, he should produce the evidence that he said he has,” she said.
“If he has evidence of collusion that somehow the special counsel couldn’t find over 22 months and $35 million of our money, I want Adam Schiff to produce that,” Conway said. “He ought to put up or shut up.”
When asked if Mueller should testify as Democrats have been demanding, even before the report was released, Conway was clear.
“We’ve heard from Mueller. This is the Mueller report. But the Attorney General said today he doesn’t have a problem with Mueller testifying,” she said, referring to Barr’s answer to questions from the press following Thursday morning’s press conference. “If Congress wants to continue this charade. But this is the Mueller report. This was the Mueller investigation. This is the Mueller team’s redactions.”
Conway held her most vicious tongue-lashing for Democrats for her remarks to the White House press, reiterating some of the same points but laying blame for the “witch hunt” squarely where it belonged.

“Intent should matter. Intent has never mattered to any of you, respectfully, throughout this whole thing,” she told reporters. “Was there intent to collude? Was there intent to commit a crime? Was there intent to conspire with Russia? Was there intent to steal the election from poor old Hillary Clinton – I’m sure for whom most of you voted.”
“The big lie that you’ve let fly for two years, it’s over folks,” she said.
“This is the success of the Democrats in the first 100 days in Congress,” Conway added, holding up blank paper. “There’s nothing.”
Conway believes the American people should feel “very good about democracy” after she said she read the report.
“And it should make people feel really great that a campaign I managed to its successful end did not collude with any Russians.”
“We’re accepting apologies today, too, for anybody who feels the grace in offering them,” she added.
