Will Obama’s neighbors house illegal immigrants? Sanctuary city supporters give their answers

 Video Team, DCNF

Supporters of sanctuary cities in Washington, D.C., stumbled and made excuses when asked to open up their homes to house an immigrant family.

While a few were opposed to having sanctuary cities as safe havens for illegal immigrants, many were enthusiastic about them.

Several even supported the proposed policy of releasing illegal immigrants from detention centers into sanctuary cities.

When asked if they personally would open their homes to house immigrants, most of the supporters backtracked and made excuses.

“If my apartment was bigger than a shoe box, I would do it in a heartbeat,” one supporter said.

“I live in a very small apartment, so I wouldn’t be able to,” said another.
