Catholic League president Bill Donohue slammed the left-wing direction that Fox News has increasingly moved toward under the stewardship of founder Rupert Murdoch’s liberal sons, James and Lachlan Murdoch.

‘This Is Not the Same Fox News’

“This is not the same Fox News that is was under Roger Ailes,” Donohue said on 77 WABC’s “Bernie and Sid” radio show (audio below). “He would have never, ever have put up with this.”

Cavuto Hung Up on Donohue for Discussing Notre Dame Fire

Donohue was referencing a disturbing incident the previous day, when the left-leaning Neil Cavuto hung up on Donohue because he said he was “suspicious” of the fire that destroyed the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris this week.

While French authorities claim the fire was an accident caused by ongoing renovation, Donohue says he suspects that the Catholic church might have been set on fire intentionally.

Keep in mind that the Notre Dame Cathedral has been around for 900 years and has survived wars and other atrocities. But a simple renovation project suddenly caused it to go up in flames?

Donohue pointed out that there has been a massive escalation in the vandalism and destruction of Catholic churches across France during the past couple of years — most perpetrated by Islamists who hate Christians.

This happens to coincide with a huge spike in France’s Muslim population and the rise of Islamist radicalism and anti-Christian intolerance across Europe (or Eurabia, as it’s known now).

However, Donohue never mentioned Islam or Muslims. So why the hell did Neil Cavuto hang up on him?

“Well, Neil, if it is an accident, it’s a monumental tragedy. But forgive me for being suspicious.

Just last month, a 17th century church was set on fire in Paris. We have seen Tabernacles knocked down, crosses have been torn down, statues have been smashed.

I’m sorry, when I find out that the Eucharist is being destroyed and excrement is being smeared on crosses [I get suspicious].”

Muslims Are Sacred Cows to Today’s Left

That’s when Cavuto hung up on him, apparently to stop Bill Donohue from committing a leftist “thought crime.”

Muslims are sacred cows to today’s Left, as are illegal aliens and transgenders. You’re not allowed to criticize them, or the Left will destroy you.

Fox News’ resident leftist activist Shepard Smith did the same thing: He cut off a French politician after he brought up fact that numerous Catholic Churches in France have been desecrated in the past year.

Fox News Has Becoming Increasingly Left-Wing

Bill Donohue says he’s alarmed that Fox News has increasingly alienated the conservative audience that has made it the No. 1 cable news network for the past 20 years.

“When I say it’s coming from the top, they did this all day on Fox [spout left-wing propaganda],” Donohue said.

“I got all kinds of phone calls from friends of mine, people who are at home, people who are retired. And they say this is the M.O. This is what Fox is doing. So this is coming from the corporate boys [James and Lachlan Murdoch].”

James Murdoch Donated to Pete Buttigieg’s Campaign

Meanwhile, FEC filings show that James Murdoch gave the maximum possible donation to 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg’s campaign.

James is running Fox News along with his leftist brother Lachlan. So you do the math: FNC could morph into CNN once Rupert Murdoch, 88, passes.

Meanwhile, Arabic speakers around the world gleefully celebrated the destruction of Notre Dame Cathedral on Facebook, as it happened.
