President Trump, like millions of loyal Fox viewers, increasingly have to wonder what is up with the Fox News network. Monday evening the news-home for millions of conservatives hosted a Fox News Town Hall featuring socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. Many who watched called it a pep rally for Sanders.
MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough called the move “brilliant” … at least for Sander-nistas. He said on his Morning Joe program that Bernie’s willingness to go onto Fox showed that he “is going after Trump voters.”
He said, “I don’t care what the national Democratic Party says. I think it’s a brilliant move going over to Fox News.” Bernie is doing something other Democrats are not doing. He’s going after Trump voters.”
The President himself had to be scratching his head. It won’t be a surprise if he soon has a bit more to say than what he tweeted this morning …

Sanders appeared on the Fox News town hall, live from Bethlehem, Pa. It was moderated by Special Report anchor Bret Baier and The Story anchor Martha MacCallum.

In March, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez announced that Fox would be barred from hosting any of the party’s primary debates. However, Democratic presidential candidates are not precluded from appearing on Fox News for interviews or town halls.
Morning Joe panelist Mike Barnicle suggested more Dem candidates should follow Sanders’ lead. He said: “The idea of Bernie Sanders going on Fox TV is a great idea for Sanders, the campaign, and the Democratic Party. And more Democrats ought to appear on Fox News because you’re talking to the kinds of people … many of them, not all of them … many of them are Democratic voters who have been screwed out of their paychecks, their pensions and everything by the activities of multiple, multiple administrations, but specifically now this administration in Washington, D.C.”
Andy McCarthy, contributing editor at the National Review, tweeted: “Bernie Sanders helped himself a lot tonight. I disagreed with much of what he said. I can see why people like him. Maybe other Dems noticed Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum respectfully let him make his case, and Fox News gave him an enthusiastic home-crowd setting.”
It wasn’t a Town Hall.
It was a biased crowd who cheered everything he said.
No opportunity to delve deep into his policies because every time something remotely controversial was mentioned Bernie’s “clapping seal” audience booed the questioner while cheering Bernie #WasteOfTime— @chickybird949 (Rose) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (@chickybird949) April 15, 2019
Trump’s tweet got ‘Crazy Bernie’ trending and sparked a whirlwind of reaction, including a response from “smiley” Bret Baier:
Thanks for watching Mr. President – we’d love to have you on a town hall soon — or even an interview on @SpecialReport —it’s been awhile. We cover all sides. https://t.co/1EDeWFhNe7

Bernie Sanders attacks Trump on Fox News calling him a ‘pathalogical liar’ as Brett Baier & Martha McCallum just sat there.
Bernie lied about his wealth, lied about the cost of healthcare, lied about his book being a #1 NYT bestseller.
Who’s the ‘pathological liar’?

He released his tax returns. Have you?

Yes, and Sanders admittedly didn’t pay his ‘fair share’ according to his own standards. But, deflected to “but, but, Trump!”
Sanders also touted his unrealistic ‘Medicare for All’ at the town hall:

While @BretBaier and @marthamaccallum were gracious and forgiving @SenSanders @BernieSanders was critical and not forthcoming with the truth. When he couldn’t or wouldn’t answer a question he was rude to both. He really didn’t answer any questions honestly

Bernie just said that he is OK with infanticide. Bernie said it’s up to the mother and her physician.

Fox looks bad & Bret& Martha (it’s hurt to say) looked like they were kissing up to the dems. Viewers can watch @OANN
