After years of pushing ‘collusion delusion,’ Chuck Todd rips Barr for ‘gaslighting’ the country

NBC opinion host Chuck Todd and other mainstream media are furious that Attorney General William Barr revealed that the Obama FBI spied on the 2016 Trump campaign.
NBC News opinion host Chuck Todd is furious that AG William Barr said the Obama FBI spied on the 2016 Trump campaign.

Pssst, Kettle, it’s Pot! In a comical show of hypocrisy, NBC opinion host Chuck Todd accused Attorney General William Barr of “gaslighting” the public and pushing a “conspiracy theory” when Barr said that the Obama FBI had spied on President Trump and his aides when they were private citizens.

As BizPac Review reported, Barr told Congress yesterday that he believes “spying did occur” on the 2016 Trump campaign.

Commentator Who Gaslit the Public Accuses Barr of Gaslighting

Todd slammed Barr, saying his observations lend credence to President Trump’s accusations that Robert Mueller’s fruitless investigation was a witch hunt.

“The country’s chief law enforcement officer went in front of Congress today and gave credence to a factless conspiracy theory.

Every time they’ve brought up this allegation, there has been zero factual basis for it. Every effort to perpetrate the spying conspiracy theory has been debunked.

Using the word ‘spying’ plays into the President’s language and argument that the Russia investigation to him is just a witch hunt. It feels like that basically the Attorney General gaslit the country.”

Dan Bongino on Todd: ‘This Clown Is an Absolute Embarrassment’

What’s laughable about Chuck Todd’s screeching is that he, MNSBC, CNN and the left-wing mainstream media were the ones that gaslit the public by pushing the discredited Steele dossier and bogus “Russia collusion” hoax.

And then — after Robert Mueller’s final report concluded that there was no evidence of collusion — the media still refuse to acknowledge that they had breathlessly pushed fake news for almost three years.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino reacted by slapping Todd down on Twitter:

“Pravda-Chuck is hard at work attaching his lips to the behinds of the police-state liberals he adores. This clown is an absolute embarrassment to rational beings and his embarrassing, uninformed, ignorant commentary is a disgrace, even to the cesspool that is our modern media.”

Lara Logan: The Media Conned the Public for 3 Years

Dan Bongino’s sentiments were echoed by former CBS News reporter Lara Logan.

In March, Logan said she was disgusted by the media’s gaslighting of the public to brainwash viewers into believing that Mueller’s tangential indictments of people like Paul Manafort had anything to do with “Russian collusion.”

“If charges had been brought against the president, the headlines would all be screaming, ‘Victory for the left! Vindication. This proves that what the left has been saying is right’.

Now, no charges have been brought, but I don’t see screaming headlines that say this vindicates the president.

You keep seeing featured prominently in many articles this line that ‘six members of the Trump campaign have been indicted’ by the Mueller investigation.

But you don’t read in the same space that…none of them were charged with conspiring with Russia — the central question of the Mueller investigation. That always comes way, way, way down further in the reporting.”

Reminder: There Were ZERO Indictments For Russian Collusion

The mainstream media have repeatedly tried to gaslight the public into thinking that Mueller’s indictments were related to “Trump-Russia collusion.”

As BizPac Review has reported, Paul Manafort was indicted for tax evasion and money-laundering for business activities he engaged in between 2006 and 2014.

Manafort did not join the Trump campaign until April 2016 — and was fired five months later — in August 2016.  Just so we’re clear: Robert Mueller has not indicted anyone for “Russian collusion.” Period. That was the central focus of his investigation.

For those who dismiss Attorney General Barr’s conclusion that the Obama FBI had spied on the 2016 Trump campaign, remember this accidental admission from the New York Times in 2017?

The New York Times has since tried to scrub the article from its website and suggest that the headline meant something other than what it clearly stated — which is that the Obama FBI spied on Trump.
