Rep. Rashida Tlaib was eviscerated by the president of a pro-Israel group for her attempt to smear him for allegedly promoting “hate rhetoric and extremism.”

Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, blasted the Michigan Democrat for her claims in a tweet on Monday, ahead of his scheduled testimony on hate crimes and white nationalism before Congress on Tuesday.

The freshman congresswoman, who has come under fire for her previous anti-Semitic remarks, tweeted that Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing “on hate crimes & the rise of white nationalism” would be difficult for “Mohammad Abu Salha, who lost his two daughters & son-in-law in a hate crime,” because of the presence of Klein as well as Turning Point USA’s Candace Owens.

“This is going to be tough for the family because the @GOP are calling ZOA’s Mort Klein & conservative Candace Owens to testify at the same hearing,” Tlaib wrote. “Both have elevated hate rhetoric and extremism in our country.”

Klein slammed Tlaib, one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress, in a statement to The Daily Wire.

“As usual, Tlaib resorts to name calling without any facts,” Klein said. “I know what unbridled hate looks like firsthand as I lost nearly all of my family in Hitler’s Holocaust.”

“Tlaib knows what hate looks like as she put a sticky note over Israel on a map in her office and called it Palestine and she wrote for Louis Farrakhan,” he continued, referring to the 2006 op-ed column she penned for Final Call, a Nation of Islam publication founded by Farrakhan.

“Tlaib also supports BDS. Tlaib promotes anti-Semitism more than almost any other member of Congress that I’ve ever known,” Klein added, noting the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement which seeks boycotts against Israel.

The Democrat was no sooner sworn into office in January than she made headlines for her profane declaration about impeaching President Trump. Her positions on Israel and ties to anti-Israel figures have come under scrutiny, revealing deeper anti-Semitic connections than were previously known about the freshman congresswoman.

“Tlaib should be ashamed of herself,” Klein concluded. “Tlaib falsely accuses Jews of dual loyalty while she wraps herself in the flag of an enemy of the United States, the flag of the terrorist Palestinian authority, on the day she was sworn into office.”

In March, Tlaib unfollowed an anti-Semitic Instagram page that called Jews vermin and “unwanted” people. after she was called out.

Just days after she was sworn into office, Tlaib tweeted about the anti-Semitic conspiracy theory claiming that members of Congress have dual loyalty to both Israel and the United States as her colleagues considered a bill allowing government agencies to avoid doing business with those supporting BDS.

On her very first day in office, the Muslim lawmaker was photographed with anti-Semite Linda Sarsour.

Tlaib has also come to the defense of her fellow Democratic congresswoman, Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, saying she was being targeted because she’s a black Muslim woman. Never mind that Omar has had her own share of well-deserved backlash over anti-Semitic remarks.

Omar was back in the headlines Tuesday after lashing out at White House adviser Stephen Miller as a “white nationalist.”

Tlaib was roasted over her tweets attacking Klein and Owens on Monday by many, including Owens herself.
