Democrat Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy is alarmed by the radical socialist policies being championed by members of her own party. Murphy did not name names, but was clearly referring to newbie Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
“I am offended by this whole conversation about socialism,” Murphy said. “The idea that in the greatest democracy — the greatest capitalist system in the world — we’re having casual conversation about socialism, offends me.”
Two-Term Congresswoman Murphy: I’m a ‘Proud Capitalist’
Stephanie Murphy is a two-term congresswoman who calls herself a “proud capitalist.”
Murphy, the first Vietnamese-American woman in Congress, says growing up in socialist Vietnam gave her firsthand experience of the failures and horrors of socialism.
‘Capitalism Built the Greatest Nation in the World’
Murphy recounted that after she and her family immigrated to the United States, they mailed her relatives back in Vietnam medicine and bandages because those items were not available there.
“[Capitalism] is the system that built us the greatest nation and the greatest economy in the world, Sure, we have to fix the inequities that exist in our system.
But this is not the moment to undo the whole system and embrace something that Americans have spent blood and treasure fighting to save other countries from.”
Trump: Democrats Are ‘Petrified’ of AOC
Congresswoman Murphy made the remarks slamming socialism while President Trump mocked the Democrat Party for being led around by their noses by a former bartender.
During an April 2 speech before the National Republican Congressional Committee, Trump slammed Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal as “the craziest thing” and mocked her party for being “petrified” of her.
“The Green New Deal, done by a young bartender, 29 years old. A young bartender, wonderful young woman. The Green New Deal. The first time I heard it, I said, ‘That’s the craziest thing.’
You have senators that are professionals. You guys that have been there for a long time … and they’re standing behind her shaking. They’re petrified of her.”

Greenpeace Founder: AOC Is a ‘Pompous Little Twit’
Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has drawn widespread ridicule for her radical Green New Deal program, which urges Americans (but not her) to stop using airplanes and cars — otherwise the world will end in 12 years.
Environmental activists like Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore reacted by torching AOC as a “pompous little twit” whose plan would “bring about mass death.”

Ocasio-Cortez has emerged as the de facto leader of the Democrat Party, thanks to her embrace of radical leftist ideas such as socialism, open-borders, and her unwillingness to pay taxes — even as she urges Americans to pay theirs.

Ocasio-Cortez’s epic cluelessness has enraged even her constituents in the Bronx — so much so that one is running to unseat her in 2020.
“[AOC] is an empty vessel with a really loud mouth,” said one annoyed Bronx resident.
