DNC Chair Tom Perez blasted Republican lawmakers and those who have supported President Donald Trump as “cowards” who “will be judged harshly.”
The head of the Democratic National Committee dropped his name-calling during a talk at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management on Monday, calling out those who have not challenged the president on his agenda.
“They are cowardly,” Perez said during a conversation on “Progressive Policy in the Trump Era.”
“History will not only judge Donald Trump harshly, it will judge [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell, [former House Speaker] Paul Ryan and all the other cowards who refuse to stand up to this president and allowed the party of Lincoln to die,” he told Dean David Weil.
“They will be judged harshly, because whatever he says, goes right now,” the former Obama-era secretary of labor added, as he also took a shot at another GOP senator.
“Look at Lindsey Graham – it’s pathetic,” he said, according to Townhall.
Perez recently sparked controversy when he announced a ban on Fox News from hosting any Democratic Party presidential debates, pointing to “the inappropriate relationship between President Trump, his administration and Fox News.”
Soon after he was elected DNC chairman, Perez unloaded in a foul-mouthed rant that Trump “didn’t win the election.”

During his talk on Monday, Perez continued to slam Trump as he gave his thoughts about the 2016 election.
According to Townhall:
Dean David Weil also asked Perez to analyze the 2016 election a bit more and explain to the audience how Trump became president. Perez admitted that the Democrats didn’t do their part in organizing and maintaining President Obama supporters in swing states. Yet, he added that voters were unfortunately persuaded by Trump’s lofty promises that he’d bring their jobs back.
“He said he had your back but actually he had a knife in your back.”
“He twisted it again last week,” Perez complained, blaming Republicans for not opposing Trump’s plan to end the Affordable Care Act while they passed “the most reckless tax cut in American history” last year.
Perez has been so busy trashing Trump and the GOP that he must have forgotten to do his own job.
Federal Election Commission statistics showed that the DNC has been facing fundraising issues, with numbers in February showing Democrats have $6.5 million, but are $5.7 million in debt, according to FEC filings.
He has also caused division within his own party, calling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez the “future” of the Democratic party last year.

He launched an attack on his own party’s state organizations at the end of last year, firing off an angry email over the future of the party’s voter data file.
His comments Monday on the “cowards” who support the president sparked an immediate backlash on Twitter where Trump supporters dared Perez to “bring it on.”
Hell of a way to get voters that switched from Obama to Trump to switch back in 2020.

History will judge you too, sir! And I’d much rather be standing on Trump’s side than yours!!!

Nothing like declaring your disdain for half of America to get the attention of fair-minded voters.

Cowardly? Trump has to fight for everything he does, and we’re fighting right along with him. Trump is not a coward, and neither are his supporters. As far as being judged harshly… for what? For protecting American citizens, and trying to MAGA?

This is a textbook case of how not to win hearts and minds. This kind of attitude is how Donald J. Trump won the presidency. I guess they didn’t learn from the anointed one lost.

Is this a Democrat promising more intimidation and retribution for not agreeing with and playing along with their agenda? Isn’t this what communists and dictators do to those who don’t agree and play along with them? Does anyone else see where all the @POTUS attacks are going?

Lol! Nope we Trump supporters are on the right side! I sincerely support my President because I am an American. I may not always like or agree with my President’s but ultimately he is the captain of the ship I’m on & I want to be safe. Grow up!

The DNC does not know how to relate to people, they only know how to insult them.
