While playing the role of Chicken Little, trying to save the world by crying the sky is falling — literally — Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been ignoring the voters who gave her a platform to push her Green New Deal.
The Bronx dimwit has gone so far as to claim “the world is gonna end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” Insisting “our planet is going to hit disaster if we don’t turn this ship around,” Ocasio-Cortez even questioned the morality of having children.
Meanwhile, back in her own back yard, local activist Roxanne Delgado was clear in expressing her disappointment, according to the New York Post.
“I thought AOC would be our savior, but that’s not the case,” she complained.
A local activist, Delgado said she tried for months to get in touch with Ocasio-Cortez on saving an animal shelter and cleaning up parks in the district, The Post reported.
She even followed the democratic socialist congresswoman’s advice to constituents to hit her up on social media to no avail — Delgado even tagged local media sources.
“Can someone ask @aoc to please have a contact for constituents services. NO one working in #biaggi or #gillbrand office on her behalf. NO email or contact on @AOC‘s page except DC number which has full #voicemail and no one picks up,” she tweeted.

One of the reporters tagged, Juan Benitiz, from Spectrum News NY1, responded to say: “The number for
@aoc‘s Queens constituents to call is 718-662-5970, according to her office. The number does work.”

The Post noted that calls to Ocasio-Cortez’s Washington and Queens offices don’t allow callers to leave a message. They are instead directed to visit her website, which includes a “scheduling request” form to ask for a meeting.
Another resident in her district offered a damning assessment of Ocasio-Cortez not responding to her constituents.
“She has to address these local issues. Her district is everywhere else in the US. Her heart is not in the Bronx,” former cop Anthony Vitaliano told The Post.
Vitaliano, 78, has concerns with mail delivery and wants Ocasio-Cortez to pressure Amtrak to clean up graffiti at property it owns.
“You know, I appreciate what she’s doing, but she has to represent us,” he said during a recent meeting with a local board.
Locals will have a choice in 2020, as a Republican woman has decided to run against Ocasio-Cortez.
Ruth Papazian, a lifelong Bronx resident, calls the self-described socialist the “Bronx Bolshevik.” The newly declared candidate is a medical journalist and the daughter of Egyptian immigrants, and may offer residents a real option.
Yep, it seems the apple’s shine is coming off and Ocasio-Cortez has been in office just under three months.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
C’mon. She’s too busy “fighting for” the people (isn’t that what Democrats do?) to actually talk to any people.

You are missing the point in this. @AOC @RepAOC has no interest in constituent services, if she did she’d never had worked against Amazon coming to her district. She only exists to push the @justicedems addenda as their spokesperson. She is a true Manchurian candidate.

I see @AOC as a #fraud perpetrated on The Bronx by @justicedems to further their national agenda, not the represent The Bronx. Watch their AOC video and decide for yourself. https://t.co/JPe6wUg0Et https://t.co/IknzIdzxEr
