Bernie slapped with FEC complaint for breaking law by hiring a non-citizen, foreign-national as secretary

Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie’s Sander’s hiring earlier this month of an illegal alien to serve as his campaign secretary violates federal election laws, according to a complaint filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission by the Coolidge Reagan Foundation.

According to the foundation, Sanders has been violating federal election laws since the 2016 presidential election, when he accepted $35,000 in donations from Maria Belén Sisa — the same illegal alien who he’s since hired to serve as his campaign secretary — and allowed Sisa and two other illegals, Erika Andiola and Cesar Vargas, to serve in advisory campaign positions.

Sisa, Andiola and Vargas are all outspoken illegal immigration activists who’ve been allowed to remain in the United States because of former President Barack Hussein Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. But the fact that they’re allowed to stay doesn’t take away from the fact that they’re foreign nationals, i.e., they’re not citizens of the United States.

This is problematic because FEC guidelines clearly prohibit foreign nationals from participating in U.S. elections either via donations or via campaign activity:

Note the last line in the snapshot above: “Persons who knowingly and willfully engage in these activities may be subject to an FEC enforcement action, criminal prosecution, or both.”

It’s unclear if enforcement actions would also apply to an election candidate such as Sanders who accepts donations and/or other contributions from a foreign national.

What seems clear though is that the activity within Sanders’ camp is illegal.

“Due to the high profile of Cesar Vargas, Erika Andiola, and Maria Belén Sisa as leading activists in the undocumented community, there is reason to believe that respondents are ‘foreign nationals’ within the meaning of 52 U.S.C. § 301219b)(2), and in violation of 11 C.F.R. § 110.20 (i) and A.O. 2004-26, directly or indirectly participated in the decision-making process of persons with regard to the election-related activities of Bernie 2016,” the complaint filed by the Coolidge Reagan Foundation reads.

“There is reason to believe, having previously employed Ms. Sisa, that Bernie 2020 is currently, and knowingly, permitting a ‘foreign national’ … to directly or indirectly participate in the decision-making process of persons with regard to the election-related activities of Bernie 2020.”

The complaint concludes by calling for Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 campaigns to be investigated.

“Further, the Commission should enjoin respondents from any future violations and impose any necessary and appropriate remedies to ensure respondents’ future compliance with FECA,” it reads.

While it’s unclear what the outcome will be, Coolidge Reagan Foundation chairman Shaun McCutcheon is hopeful that, at the very least, Sisa loses her job.

“The involvement of foreigners, especially with all that went on during the 2016 election, can’t be allowed in our elections,” he said, referring to reports that various foreign powers, including Russia, tried unsuccessfully to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

Regarding Sanders’ latest hire, she remains on his team as of March 23 despite glaringly anti-Semitic remarks she made earlier in the month in which she questioned the loyalty of Jewish Americans.

“This is a serious question: Do you not think that the American government and American Jewish community has a dual allegiance to the State of Israel?” she reportedly written on Facebook.

At the time she also expressed support for Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s anti-Semitism and suggested her own boss, Jewish senator Bernie Sanders, might have “dual loyalty” issues as well.

“I think I would probably have to ask him,” she reportedly responded when asked about Sanders’ loyalty. “But his comments make me believe otherwise as he has been very blunt on where he stands.”

So she isn’t just an unrepentant illegal alien — she’s an anti-Semite too, though she’s at least apologized for her anti-Semitism. Sisa has yet to apologize for violating America’s immigration laws, not to mention America’s federal election laws.

Sisa’s also ungrateful too.  When President Donald Trump tried earlier this year to offer illegal aliens such as her a three-year extension of the DACA program — which has technically been repealed but will remain active as it winds it way through the court system — in exchange for border wall funding, she accused him of trying to use her and her per peers as “bargaining chips.”

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

Dovetailing back to this week’s filing, many find it ironic given that special counsel Robert Mueller has just concluded his investigation into Russian collusion.

The fact that Mueller’s investigation is complete and he still hasn’t charged anyone for collusion means the Russian collusion narrative was a lie. This means Trump never colluded.

Yet here now is what appears to be clear-cut evidence of Sanders effectively colluding with foreign nationals to affect the outcome of the next major election.

How ironic:
