A State Department official’s nomination for an ambassadorship was withdrawn recently by President Trump in light of reports she communicated with those allegedly plotting against him.
Recently surfaced emails revealed that former State Department Deputy Assistant Secretary Kathleen Ann Kavalec had communicated with the former British spy Christopher Steele and she had passed on information to top Justice Department official Bruce Ohr before and after the 2016 presidential election, a senior White House official told investigative reporter Sara Carter.
Kavalec, a supporter of former President Obama and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, was awaiting confirmation to be a US Ambassador to Albania but the nomination was withdrawn, Carter reported.
“She is a career foreign service officer who was nominated through the career process -the President withdrew her nomination,” the White House official told the reporter, adding that Kavalec “is not pending in the Senate and was never confirmed to the post.”
Carter noted that State Department officials could not discuss Kavalec and the State Department website still shows she is a nominee.
Rep. Mark Meadows had revealed in a bombshell Monday that U.S. ambassadors conspired with the FBI and the Justice Department in an effort to politically damage Trump.
“It’s additional information that is coming out that will show not only was there no collusion, but there was a coordinated effort to take this president down,” the North Carolina Republican said on “Hannity” Monday. “We talk about the ‘Deep State.’ There are players now, even ambassadors, that are sitting ambassadors that were involved in part of this with the FBI-DOJ.”
The coup was a lot bigger than it even appeared. It wasn’t just bureaucrat lawyers at the FBI thinking they got elected. This is a disgrace to everything America stood for since its inception.

Meadows reportedly told Carter on Tuesday that “it’s amazing Obama Administration holdovers with strong ties to Hillary Clinton have been undermining the Trump Administration and continue to work covertly to thwart his agenda.”
According to Carter:
Kavalec, as well as her colleague Jonathan Winer, a former assistant to former Secretary of State John Kerry, supplied information they had collected from Steele to Bruce Ohr, said sources familiar with the congressional investigations. Ohr is a senior Department of Justice official who was used as a backchannel for the FBI after Steele was removed from the bureau for shopping his dossier to the media in 2016. His wife, Nellie Ohr, was working in 2016 as a contractor for Fusion GPS, who was hired by the Hillary Clinton campaign and DNC to compile the anti-trump dossier.
Carter revealed she had obtained emails from November 2016 reportedly exchanged between Ohr and Kavalec. The Senate confirmation hearing for Kavalec was cancelled in January by the Senate Foreign Relation Committee pending a review of her involvement with Steele and Ohr, Carter reported.
Former DOJ Attorney J. Christian Adams told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade that many of the ambassadors Meadows alluded to are either “Obama leftovers” or are part of the “foreign service,” which he described as the “swampiest part of the swamp.”

“It’s career people who almost think they’re some sort of hereditary elite whose role in the world is to preserve the world order, not to serve the United States,” Adams said on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday. “And these people despise President Trump.
“All of these people used their petty power they have to undermine the presidency,” Adams said on the “Deep State” operatives who went to work against Trump as he took office. “And that’s been the story of the last two years.”
Fox News host Sean Hannity sounded the alarm earlier this week on the coordinated effort to remove Trump from office, promising that indictments are coming “very soon.”

“What we now have is the beginning of a cascade of information of materials that will be corroborating everything we have been telling you over the last two years,” he said Monday on “Hannity,” telling viewers to “expect more damning revelations” in the abuse of power by high-ranking federal officials to help win the election for Hillary Clinton and to take down Trump.
