As a handful of far-left zealots protested outside Fox News’ NYC headquarters on Wednesday, demanding that host Tucker Carlson be canned over controversial remarks he made to a shock jock radio host years ago, the man leading the charge against Carlson was dealt a dose of his own medicine.

Media Matters president Angelo Carusone, the radically far-left maniac spearheading the campaign to oust Carlson, was exposed by the Fox host’s own news outfit, The Daily Caller, for racist, anti-Semitic and glaringly bigoted remarks that he’d made as recently as 2005.
According to The Daily Caller, back in 2005 Carusone ran a now-defunct blog in which he made “degrading references to” transgender Americans, Jewish people and Bangladeshis, among others.
In one post he complained about a news story about a Bangladeshi man being robbed by “a gang of transvestites,” or “trannies” as he called them. He found it offensive that whoever wrote the story described the transvestites as “attractive.” He also found it odd that the victim had money.
“Did you notice the word attractive?” he’d written, referencing the news story about the Bangladeshi man. “What the f–k is that doing in there? Is the write[r] a tranny lover too? Or, perhaps he’s trying to justify how these trannies tricked this Bangladeshi in the first place?”
“Look man, we don’t need to know whether or not they were attractive. The f–king guy was Bangladeshi. And while we’re out, what the hell was he doing with $7,300 worth of stuff. The guy’s Banladeshi [sad]!” he added, suggesting that every Bangladeshi is supposed to be poor.

In another post, Carusone posited defenses for a basketball coach in Japan who’d forced the girls on his team to run nude and reportedly hit them to “infuse fighting spirit in them to win a competition.”
After detailing his prior experiences on a basketball team, he wrote, “Point is, lighten up Japs. I had to shell out 4 grand a year for the treatment that you’re getting for free. Consider yourselves lucky.”
Look:
Additional posts reportedly show him praising former Ku Klux Klan member turned Democrat senator and left-wing darling Robert Byrd, lamenting his boyfriend’s “jewry” and blaming his boyfriend’s conservatism on “his possession of several bags of Jewish gold.”
While Carusone refused to reply to questions from The Daily Caller, he did speak briefly on Wednesday with CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter.
“Carusone admitted that his posts from the mid-2000s are ‘gross content,'” Stelter reported in his nightly newsletter. “But, he said, ‘the entire context and tone’ of his old website ‘was intended to be a giant obnoxious right-wing caricature, a parody of a right-wing blowhard living my life. It’s awful and grotesque, which was sort of the point. But, it didn’t work.'”
His excuse was that he’d been parodying conservatives. In other words, he hadn’t meant for any of what he’d written to be taken seriously. That’s ironic, since according to “Bubba the Love Sponge,” the shock jock host whom Carlson used to hobnob with, the Fox host had been doing the same thing.
“I host a comedy-driven radio show for guys,” he explained in an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal. “Until Sunday, no one confused it with something that should be taken seriously. Given my on-air name, “Bubba the Love Sponge,” I assume most people get the joke. We are rude, sometimes profane.”
“Tucker Carlson called into my satellite radio show regularly from 2006-11, and like all my guests, he adopted an edgy comic persona for the broadcast. He said really naughty things to make my audience laugh, and they did. The 100 or so shows we made with Mr. Carlson weren’t a secret.”
Punching back: and much deserved. Those without humor, charity, or perspective, who want to silence others, deserve our condolences, not our acquiescence. Tucker Carlson is being smeared by a new generation of speech police, writes @TheBubbaArmy https://t.co/029wJssiXO via @WSJ

Note that Stelter failed to mention this op-ed in his Wednesday newsletter. He also seemed to mock The Daily Caller’s justified attempts to hold Carusone to his own standards.
“This is how it works: Someone from your tribe is being criticized for saying hateful things? Show that the critics are hypocrites who have also said hateful things!” Stelter sarcastically wrote.
This sort of arrogant sarcasm and total unconcern over otherwise glaring double standards is a defining trait of the far-left, of which Stelter happens to be a proud member.
Intellectually honest conservative thought leaders such as renowned conservative commentator Ben Shapiro have argued that perhaps everybody should just stop trying to tear each other down over past remarks, especially when those remarks were made in jest.
“This sort of stuff makes for a worse country. It’s not meant to purify our public discourse. It’s meant to club to death opponents using the convenience of a Google search,” he opined in a column.
The handful of protesters who showed up outside Fox’s headquarters apparently never got the memo:
While it’s unclear why they aren’t lodging similar accusations of “racism” against Carusone (let alone MSNBC host Joy Reid, whose own bigotry was excused and even defended by the left last year), one guess is that they’re raging left-wing hypocrites. They wouldn’t be the first.
Love ya Tucker!! Liberal Media matters and DB suck, along with all the other hypocrites on the left
