Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants Americans to pay more taxes, even though she hasn’t paid her own back taxes from 2012.
A book company AOC founded in 2012 to publish children’s books in the Bronx still owes New York State over $1,870 in corporate taxes, according to public records uncovered by the New York Post.
The state dissolved her company, Brook Avenue Press, in October 2016, presumably due to its failure to pay corporate taxes or file a tax return.
In typical socialist fashion, Ocasio-Cortez’s little “book-publishing company” got cheap office space as part of a city-subsidized program.
However, there are no records of Brook Avenue Press ever having published a single book.
Accountant: Ocasio-Cortez Ignored Tax Warrants
Ocasio-Cortez ignored a July 2017 tax warrant from the state demanding payment of her delinquent taxes.
“The company probably got numerous letters from the state and probably ignored them,” one New York City accountant said.
Naturally, Ocasio-Cortez’s camp claimed ignorance of the entire matter.
“This is the first we’re hearing of it, and we won’t have any additional comment until we look into it,” said AOC’s spokesman, Corbin Trent, said March 9.
Democrats Getting Annoyed With Media Hog AOC
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is sowing discord within her own party by hijacking attention away from the Democrat Party’s 2020 presidential candidates.
AOC’s press-hogging — combined with her constant race-baiting and comical ignorance of economics and politics — has made her an Internet laughingstock.
Even environmental activists mock Ocasio-Cortez’s epic ignorance on environmental issues — a topic she has vocally championed.
Patrick Moore, the co-founder of Greenpeace, trashed Ocasio-Cortez as a “pompous twit” who has “gotten too big for her britches.”

Greenpeace Founder Is Stunned By AOC’s Astounding Dumbness
Patrick Moore was reacting to news that AOC is a rabid user of gas-guzzling car services like Uber and Lyft. Meanwhile, she tells everyone else that we should take the bus — or the world will end in 12 years.
“Whoops, AOC is a gas-guzzler. If only she realized that the CO2 she is emitting was helping plants grow healthier and increasing crop yields on farms around NYC. Then she could be sane.
It seems many people agree that AOC is a bit too big for her britches. I’m in good company here.
POTUS is right to encourage her to keep blathering insanity. There can’t be 5% who support giving up planes, hamburgers, gasoline, and reliable electricity.”
While AOC repeatedly slams President Trump as a crook, she’s facing potential jail time over the alleged money-laundering of her chief of staff, Saikat Chakrabart.
Like other leftists, Ocasio-Cortez’s hypocritical life credo appears to be: Socialism for thee, but not for me.
