Unbeknownst to most Americans, injured Navy SEAL war veteran turned Texas congressman Dan Crenshaw is a “yuge” fan of Captain America, aka Steve Rogers. So much so, in fact, that he literally has the fictional superhero’s “logo” inside his body.
Confused? Chris Evans, the Hollywood actor known for playing Captain America in Marvel’s movies, was probably confused too when, during a meeting on Capitol Hill this week to speak with lawmakers about various issues, Crenshaw showcased his Captain America enthusiasm to the actor.

Say WHAT!?
Crenshaw, a decorated Navy SEAL veteran, lost his eye in 2012 after he was hit by an IED blast while serving in Afghanistan. Of course, you probably already knew that.
“One of our Afghan interpreters stepped on a pressure plate right in front of me. About 15 pounds of explosives dismembered him right in front of my face. It blinded me, shattered me and knocked me over,” he told The Daily Caller News Foundation last March.
“I woke up about five days later. They took some time to stabilize me in Afghanistan and do the surgery to remove my right eye. I woke up without a right eye and blind in the left. They had little faith I would see again, but the fact they said there was a chance … I really believed I would see again.”
Learn more about his life story below:
At the time of the recording above in late 2018,he’d been a relatively unknown Texas congressional candidate. After a “comedian” on “Saturday Night Live” mocked his eyepatch last November, only days before the election, he skyrocketed to national fame.
What many likely didn’t know is that hiding underneath his eyepatch this whole time has been a Captain America glass eye.
Evans took the discovery in good stride:
A VERY cool use of vibranium https://t.co/zv5L9hqqTl
— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) March 9, 2019
Vibranium is the fictional material in Captain America’s universe used to make his all-important shield.
“Captain America’s Shield was the primary defensive and offensive weapon used and owned by Steve Rogers. The original shield that Rogers carried into battle was made of steel and was shaped like a traditional heater shield. Later, Rogers adopted his more well-known, disc-shaped shield which was made out of vibranium,” the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki notes.
Unfortunately, Evans’ meeting with Crenshaw and his subsequent discovery didn’t exactly engender a positive reaction. Hateful liberals blasted Evans for meeting with a “Nazi”:
h-he’s a nazi

Chris, that’s a nazi. Like…an actual nazi.
…so unless you’re planning on kicking his ass in act 3, I’d be very wary
— Tall Jordan Schmidt (@TallGuySchmidt) March 9, 2019
Hes a nazi chris

This guy is against every policy you’ve ever addressed. War hero or not this guy is a racist , gun toting nazi.
— PaintWizard710 (@WizardPins) March 9, 2019
This guy is a Nazi.

You realize he’s a nazi right?
— Smooth C (@carlos_bonanza) March 9, 2019
You know this man is a neo nazi, right?

Their ignorance is stunning, but yes, thanks to indoctrination by Democrats and their media allies, these far-left radicals genuinely believe war hero Dan Crenshaw is a Nazi.
Thankfully, for every know-nothing far-left radical, there was a sensible moderate or conservative willing to rush to Crenshaw’s defense and smack these people with some truth.
Observe:
You do realise that you are the very thing that you claim to hate? Being right-wing doesn’t make you a Nazi, but refusing to be near people because of their beliefs sure does sound like one.
— Jake White (@V2Jake) March 9, 2019
Wow. Even if you disagree politically, that man served our country. He lost his eye defending your right to call him a nazi. Maybe be a little respectful? Or is that off the table because he’s a “nazi”?
— bold and brash (@belongsinthetr) March 9, 2019
You’re an absolute joke of a human being if you’re trying to convince people that Dan Crenshaw is a nazi
— Joe Cameron (@realJoeCameron) March 9, 2019
lol Yeah because Dan Crenshaw is totally a Nazi, right? My gosh you verified liberals are crazy. Everybody you don’t like is a far-right Nazi apparently.
— Mitchell Arvon (@M_Arvon15) March 9, 2019
Reasons to leave the left, all of these comments going against dialogue. They call people fascists but act like fascists themselves. Unless you agree with them, you’re a Nazi.
— Anthem addicts anonymous (@Sodapirate16) March 9, 2019
People who throw the word Nazi around so flippantly are actually disgusting
— The Versificator (@JcMaj7) March 9, 2019
The Twitter user who identifies as “The Versificator” was right — these far-leftists are “disgusting.” The problem is they represent a growing faction within the modern Democrat Party, which is also home to Antifa terrorists, raging anti-Semites and proud baby killers.
