President Trump is trashed by press for signing Bibles during hero’s welcome in Alabama

On Friday President Donald Trump visited with and signed the Bibles of several Alabama residents who had survived two horrific tornadoes that tore through the state on March 3.

And in response, the smug, anti-Christian bigots in the media, in the tech industry, in Hollywood and in every other sector of America that’s littered with leftism cried foul.

Watch Trump signing Bibles below:

Note that Trump was joined on the visit by first lady Melania Trump.

“Struggling to come to terms with the profound level of arrogance it takes to SIGN BIBLES for people,” smug journalist Rafael Olmeda of the Sun-Sentinel tweeted.

Never mind that the crowd of survivors clearly wanted him to sign their Bibles: “Trump signed several hats and Bibles, including one for a 12-year-old boy, an action which drew applause from people who came to see Trump,” AL.com reported.

“I’m a little reluctant to blame Trump for this. If people there are asking him to sign Bibles, it says at least as much about their religious values as his,” smug CNN editor Daniel Burke tweeted.

Indeed. Damn those traumatized 12-year-olds who dared to look to their president for comfort and guidance after a tragedy wiped out their community. Damn them to hell.

Look at this and other deplorable tweets below:

There are thousands upon thousands more like this on Twitter.

These notions that that Trump isn’t Christian enough to sign a Bible, or that signing a Bible is wrong or that those victims who asked him to sign their Bible are “lousy Christians” — these notions are appalling, though also typical of the perpetually hateful far-left.

First, plenty of past presidents have signed Bibles, as noted by Michelle Malkin:

Second, what option did the president have?

“If a citizen asks you, and you’re trying to be nice, what is the president going to do these people who’ve just been through this horrific tragedy and lost tragedy members? ‘I’m not going to sign your Bible,'” Ed Henry said while co-hosting “Fox & Friends” Saturday morning.

“It is a reminder of what happens so many times in the past where you get that elitism coming out of the left where it’s mocking people of faith, it’s mocking these people who just lost 23 lives in their community and went through tornadoes,” co-host Emily Compagno added.

Indeed. When it comes to disparaging those things they hate most — the president and white Christians — there is no low to which the left won’t stoop.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

Lastly, while it’s true the president isn’t a perfect person — nobody is, in fact, since everybody on Earth is guilty of sin — he does boast some very Christian traits and beliefs, including his fervent support for the pro-life movement, his commitment to protecting religious liberty and his praiseworthy lifelong abstinence from cigarettes, drugs and alcohol.

None of this matters to the left because they only see a man who “unfairly” won the 2016 election and rolled back the legacy of their “Christian” hero, Barack Obama, a man so allegedly “Christian” he continually sought to undermine the rights of America’s hundreds of millions of Christians.

The hypocrisy is stunning, especially when you consider that far-leftists crying foul over Trump signing Bibles are the same people who support infanticide, abortion, you name it, as noted by social media:
