Dan Bongino fires back after Geraldo Rivera defends Ocasio-Cortez: ‘I feel pride in her’

Dan Bongino ripped Geraldo Rivera for defending Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s ‘totally impractical’ socialist ideas.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino crushed liberal Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera for championing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s socialist policy ideas, which even Geraldo admits are “totally impractical” and “far-fetched.”

Bongino clashed with Geraldo during a heated segment on Sean Hannity’s show. Geraldo says people shouldn’t criticize Ocasio-Cortez and her hare-brained ideas because we shouldn’t discourage young people — no matter how impractical or ridiculous their suggestions are.

Rivera cooed: “Let them revel in the possibility that everything can be wonderful! That is the fuel of youth!”

For the record, AOC is 29 years old; she’s not 12.

Geraldo Plays Race and Gender Card

Rivera also played the race card by suggesting that people criticize Ocasio-Cortez because she’s a minority female. That’s not true. If anything, the reason why the left-wing media has elevated and defended her so vigorously is BECAUSE she’s a minority female they want to groom.

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez makes a very convenient target,” Geraldo said. “What, do you want her to be Gandhi? You want her to go begging with a wooden bowl?”

Keep in mind that none of AOC’s critics have ever mentioned her race or gender when they criticize her rabid promotion of socialism, a failed ideology that has caused mass death and destruction over the decades.

Rivera: ‘I Feel Pride in Her’

AOC is a former bartender who’s now the de facto leader of the Democrat Party. She’s not a teenager writing in her diary, so her policy suggestions warrant thorough, critical analysis.

But Geraldo reacts to everything AOC does by glossing over it as the pie-eyed musings of youth.

“I feel pride in her. She is me at the age of 26. When you have long hair and you want to solve everything, kumbaya.

She may have the most far-fetched ideas that are totally impossible and impractical, but she has heart!”

Last year, Ocasio-Cortez was a bartender. She wants you to stop using cars and eating hamburgers. But she should be allowed.

Dan Bongino: Socialism Kills

Fox News contributor Dan Bongino fired back at Rivera:

“To say ‘she has heart?’ Socialism is killing people, Geraldo! No single system of government has killed more people than socialism. None!

“[Let them] revel in starvation, and death and destruction? Did you say the same thing about fascism?

Geraldo, you can’t seriously be claiming that people are going after some of these ideas with Ms. Cortez because of her minority status as a woman. I hope you’re not saying that.”

Hannity: Dems Love Spending Other People’s Money

Sean Hannity chimed in by calling out AOC’s laughable hypocrisy: “She says we’ve got to get rid of cars, but she rides in cars. She doesn’t ride her bike. This is the hypocrisy. Liberals are only generous with other people’s money.”

Hannity also slammed Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who promotes illegal immigration and open borders while hiding behind her lavish, walled mansions.

“Look at Nancy Pelosi! We sent our cameras to her district. And we saw homeless people, feces and needles everywhere and she is a multi-multimillionaire. Why can’t she build a homeless shelter so they can shower and get treatment of the drug addicts?”

Geraldo: Dems Are Doomed If They Push Socialism

In the end, Geraldo admitted that socialism is a disaster, but says AOC’s critics should be nicer to her because she’s young and idealistic. (That sure sounds patronizing and sexist.)

If the grown-ups [in the Democratic Party] embrace this archaic solution to modern problems, they are doomed.

I am not a socialist, I am a capitalist, But I understand the generosity of the concept of socialism.

I’m not here to speak in favor of Nancy Pelosi. All I know is that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represents an ideal to many youngsters. You have to be more generous [to her].”
