Former ICE Director Thomas Homan decimated Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her ignorant attacks on the agency in a fiery fact-check on Fox News.
Homan erupted over the New York Democrat’s accusations against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, addressing her recent remarks in an appearance on “Fox & Friends” on Sunday.
The former ICE chief noted that he had cancelled an appearance at an event in order to be able to respond to the Democratic socialist and her allegations, calling out the freshman congresswoman as “dangerous” and someone who “doesn’t know fact from fiction.”
Ocasio-Cortez, who has vowed to defund ICE as well as abolish the federal agency, tweeted her attacks during a vote on a GOP amendment. As House Democrats were poised to vote on “The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019,” their Republican colleagues used a “motion to recommit” to force the Democrats’ hand, using the same law to alert federal authorities when an illegal immigrant tries to purchase a firearm illegally as well. The motion passed when 26 Democrats crossed party lines to vote with Republicans.
If you’re mad that I think people SHOULD KNOW when Dems vote to expand ICE powers, then be mad.
ICE is a dangerous agency with 0 accountability, widespread reporting of rape, abuse of power, + children dying in DHS custody.
Having a D next to your name doesn’t make that right.

“I was upset that 26 Dems forced the other 200+ to vote for a pro-ICE provision at the last min without warning. Because I think an agency that pins children down + forcibly injects them w/ antipsychotic drugs shouldn’t be given more power,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, accusing ICE of injecting children, raping women and blaming the agency for children dying in custody.
“At [DHS immigrant detention] facility, children recounted being held down for forcible injections, which medical records show are powerful antipsychotics and sedatives.” https://t.co/mEmgTmQlIT

“She says we’re dangerous? What’s dangerous is a congresswoman who doesn’t know fact from fiction!” Homan declared Sunday on Fox News.
“You have a congresswoman who doesn’t know how to tell the truth. I forgot more on this subject than she will ever know in her two whole months of being a congresswoman,” he added as he proceeded to punch her narrative full of holes.
“She said three things. She said ICE was holding children down and injecting them with anti-psychotic drugs,” he began.
“Are you kidding me? That allegation was made against HHS,” he said, referring to the Department of Health and Human Services. “A different agency in a different department and she failed to mention those accusations were unsubstantiated. That was not ICE.”
“As far as raping women, sexually abusing women? ICE rescued 310 women from traffickers last year… We save women, we don’t rape them… I’m sick and tired of ICE agents being accused of stuff,” an exasperated Homan continued.
“As far as she said children dying in ICE custody. A child has never died in ICE custody ever!” Homan declared.
“Give me one name of a child that died in ICE custody! Two children died in custody of the Border Patrol and it wasn’t their fault. They did everything they could,” he said.
“So this lady, this congresswoman needs to get her facts straight!” he added. “I’m sick of this!”
