Members of the House and Senate Intelligence committees grilled Michael Cohen about whether he discussed a possible presidential pardon with the Trump administration ahead of his February 27 congressional testimony.
The questioning took place behind closed doors, so it’s not known whether Cohen ever had such discussions. However, it’s unlikely that the Trump administration offered Cohen a pardon because he trashed President Trump as a “racist con man” at his hearing.
Here’s what we do know: Cohen accepted a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller under which he agreed to provide dirt on Trump in exchange for a shorter jail sentence.
Cohen will serve a three-year sentence for campaign finance violations and bank fraud later this year. The stiff jail term means that Cohen had very little incriminating evidence against Trump to offer to Mueller.
Pee Tape Does Not Exist, So You Must Acquit
Leaked stories last week rabidly hyped Michael Cohen’s hearing, suggesting he had “explosive new information” that would destroy Trump. But when the hearing occurred, Cohen offered no new information to damage his former boss.
In fact, a lot of Cohen’s testimony vindicated President Trump. For instance, Cohen testified that the infamous “pee tape” the media breathlessly promoted for two years does not exist.
According to the leftist narrative, Trump became a Russian asset because he was being blackmailed with threats to expose a videotape where he had paid Russian hookers to urinate on a bed.
After much investigation, it turns out there’s no evidence that the “pee tape” exists! And that was the centerpiece of the “Trump-Is-a-Russian-Asset” narrative.
If the mainstream media could defame and trash a sitting United States president (who’s a billionaire) this way, imagine what they could do to you.
Cohen: No Evidence of Russian Collusion
Michael Cohen also destroyed the left’s “Russia collusion” narrative because he said he has no evidence of collusion.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson torched the left-wing press for pushing this media hoax for two years:
So there is no collusion. There is no Russian blackmail. There is no obstruction of justice. None of the things that our entire media class has spent the last two years huffing and speculating wildly about [are true].
There is nothing there. It was all a lie.“
Trump: Mueller Wanted to Be My FBI Director
At CPAC yesterday, President Trump trashed Robert Mueller’s fruitless investigation as a failed partisan witch hunt.
Trump noted how dangerous it is that unelected Deep State officials like Mueller can wreak such havoc on the nation with a sham probe:
“Robert Mueller never received a vote. And neither did the person that appointed him [Rod Rosenstein].
Robert Mueller put 13 of the angriest Democrats in the history of our country on the commission. One of them was involved with running the Hillary Clinton Foundation. Another one has perhaps the worst reputation of any human being I’ve ever seen. All killers.
I had a nasty business transaction with Robert Mueller a number of years ago. Why isn’t that mentioned? He wanted the job as my FBI director. And I didn’t give it to him. Why isn’t that mentioned? And lying James Comey is his best friend.”
